Do you guys drink when you are the only one home with your kids? Not like, get trashed, but a beer/ glass of wine or two? I saw something from the UO today that mentioned not agreeing with this. Maybe they meant getting drunk? I don't remember the exact wording. But the thread was gone before I asked more about it.

I will say, alcoholism runs in my family. So I always question what is normal with drinking. My brother has been sober 15 years- it was really scary watching him struggle but great watching him overcome. My sister stopped drinking because it was becoming an issue, and my dad stopped drinking before I was born because he felt it was becoming a problem. My grandad also had an unhealthy relationship with alcohol. I don't have a lot to compare with normal drinking patterns.
I finally went to the doctor after having severe headaches to migraines every night. I have double ear infections and a sinus infection.
...and enough antibiotics to cure an elephant.
Also, I heard the nurse say something rude about me to the doctor as she was walking in my room. I said something (jokingly) to the doctor loudly enough for Nurse to hear me regarding her statement, and she looked embarrassed to speak to me when I left. In ya face, Nurse Lady.
But I was nice about it. No sense in being rude back.
Agree with everyone else, it is worth your sanity to have his ears checked way before Monday. MS has never run a fever with EIs, & he had 10 in under a year before he got tubes. Never messed with his ears either. But had the whining, inconsolable crying, won't/can't sleep every single time.
@triplea598 another vote for not waiting to see the pedi. When J was about 4 months old she was doing the same thing with inconsolable crying but no fever. I didn't take her to the pedi. After a day or two I notice goo coming out of her ear. She had an ear infection and leaving it untreated caused her ear drum to rupture. Not trying to scare you, the pedi said it's common in babies because they can't tell you what's wrong. But yea I felt like the worst mom on the planet when it happened.
