Feeling lousy today. Terrible night's sleep, then somehow overslept, no breakfast in the house, then a long line at the coffee shop. On the plus side... I LURVE my new car and wish I could spend all day in it.
PS - Anyone else still getting terrible bloody noses? Last night was so bad that I wiped my nose (in my sleep?) and woke up with blood all over my face, pillow case, shirt... ugh! I hate this symptom the most. What I wouldn't give to be able to breathe freely through both nostrils.
I get the pregnancy nose bleeds too. The night ones are the worst when you don't wake up. A few times I've been coughing up the blood in the am bc I didn't realize during the night. I posted on here about and people recommended saline spray and humidifier. GL!
OH! And @kefttsc _ I totally hear you on the crying thing. Up until this week I thought I was a cold pregnant woman because I literally have had ZERO crazy emotions. Well Sunday DH and I went to IHOP and we were sat next to THREE different woman with infants! One was being breastfeed, another was just sitting in her carseat, and the last was just being swaddled by it's mama. All totally different families at separate tables!
I started to cry and said "That's going to be in less then five months." Then an overwhelming feeling of not being prepared hit... THEN my pancakes came and all worries left my mind.
Do I want to know about the smelly butt thread? Or should I protect my innocence and naiveté?
So we had our a/s today! Baby girl is growing like she should and looks great to the doctor. She was a little stubborn, though, on her stomach and would not turn around. Completely chill the entire time with some kicks and hand movements here and there. Lazy (me) + stubborn (husband) = totally a mix of our personalities.
Awaiting our bundle of cute chaos.

My reaction to your "sincere" questions to smelly butt... I think you legit wanted more info

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Waited a long time, tried a lot of stuff, science made me a mom.

Yesterday I had to go for a f/u u/s to my a/s for pictures of the heart. Baby was very cooperative this time. At the end the tech was showing me the screen and then said 'oh that's a great shot of the face' and printed a pic. Problem was the baby had moved already...
I had to laugh bc the pic was nothing like the amazing image on the screen before the baby moved.
Bonus points if you can tell if it's a girl or a boy!
I had my A/S this morning and I have a perfect healthy baby girl! She was super active, barely holding still for the lady to take the pictures! She even had her ankles crossed at one point like a little lady
Oh, also my placenta is partially covering my cervix so they have to watch that. They said it should move up and not be a problem but it's still a little worrisome. Does anyone else have this issue?
Good morning ladies! I'm running on VERY little sleep due to back ache from hell. This morning, to brighten my day, I asked my boss how much maternity leave I get. It is listed in the employee manual as being handled on an individual basis. Turns out, nobody in the company (only 8 employees) has ever taken maternity leave, so I get to determine how much I get. I just need to submit the length of time I want and approximately when I will be taking it.
I'm REALLY excited about that, but it makes it harder! We have to determine what we can afford.
How much would you take? Money/budget IS an issue in this house.....
I would go for 8 weeks if you can pull it off. With Hailey I took 8 and still felt like I was going back to soon! The other thing to consider is that even with you working from home, depending on what kind of delivery you end up with you might have to wait the 8 weeks. Generally after a vaginal birth the drs sign off at 6 weeks, but for c-section they try to get you to wait for 8 weeks.
If you are choosing your own maternity leave, I would recommend going back part time at first. I work in a small office, and I went back for 6 hours a week at week 4, added an extra half day at week 5 and was "full-time" (3 days a week) at week 6. It helped DD get used to others caring for her more gradually, and I didn't have a major breakdown because it was all baby steps. (I would have loved a long maternity leave, but that was never an option, our office is too small to have a provider out longer, so I'm just grateful for part-time)
A/S this morning - RYAN EDWARD (Edward is my dad's name) is still a healthy boy Phew!
@AprilRose1 so crazy! Glad mine was funny... But at least you made it to the hospital in your dream? My dude is all about delivering the baby on our couch to save on medical bills though:) but yeah... I've heard some kids have been born with teeth! Urban legend? Idk but... Ouch.. Even in a dream.
@lizjennings81 Venture there only if you have a strong stomach and aren't eating anything...I really wish I hadn't opened it. But since @kefttsc keeps feeding her, I have to go back and read what she added. Train wreck, anyone?
@sugahcookie1 Love your name!!!! And thank you for the advice on my girl's name. Luckily there aren't any of those steakhouses around (your mention is the first time I've heard of it)! Good luck at your A/S!

I have been an emotional mess over everything and nothing the past couple days! I randomly started crying in bed the other night and my husband got panicky and held me. Didn't take long till I was fine and smiling (bipolar much?) Poor man is going to go crazy before this pregnancy is up. I'm supposed to be studying for a pharmacology test but I'm scattered brained and too hungry...

Hi everyone! I've been on vacation since the weekend so I'm trying to catch up today. Hope everyone is doing well!
We had a great time. We ate way too much, bought way too much wine (4 more months), and enjoyed Norah's excitement for the petting zoo/farm and other fun adventures. I wish vacations could last longer.
The bad: I've had a nasty cough for a week. And I've had to wear pads because I get coughing fits and pee a little "> I'm hoping this is just a virus and will get better soon.
Two weeks ago LO's femur was measuring less than 3%. Today it is measuring 10% so I think dwarfism is off the table.
The doctor made a note that her hands were clenched. Because the doctor made a note he wanted me to know...I had already noticed. Again the doctor isn't worried much the same as the dwarfism. I do have to go back in for a 3rd trimester u/s to take another look. We denied all genetic testing so it is a wait and see game. Please know that I am fine!
Moral of the story - when a newb says they wish they had multiple u/s I want to punch them.
Hope things keep improving! Sorry for my ignorance, but what is the concern about the clenched hands? I'm glad your doctor isn't worried, though. Positive thoughts for you!
I really just ate a bag of Doritos for lunch...I want Japanese for dinner as soon as I get home. DH WILL get it out of pity for me. :-)

@chickenonsunday - I am glad the A/S went better this time around and you were able to get some answers! I am also confused about the clench fists, what does this mean? Just saw you answered this! T&P's for you and your LO.
More Spam: Any of you ladies have a gas stove you love? We are in the market for appliances!
So I am finally feeling some soft movements since morning today. It can't be gas all the time. I hope I am not imagining it but it feels a little different today!
Any City Select DOUBLE moms out there? I can check the Multiples board or the Nursery and Baby Gear board, but I like you ladies so much better. I'm struggling to get my chicco keyfit30 seats into the adapters.
