In L and D, with contractions -- Updated

I was having cramping all night, starting at about 10, then 230, 430, 500, 530, 545. Then I called the doc and they had me come in to l and d. My cervix is closed Thank god, but I am definitely having mild contractions. Please send thoughts and prayers, there is a lot of work up for me today.

11:20 AM Update: 
See the thread below for the longer update, but I am back home now and resting. My cervix was closed, I did not have any infection they could tell, and they pumped me full of fluids in case dehydration was causing the contractions. The doctor did not know what caused me to have contractions last night and this morning, but after getting a shot of terbutaline, they calmed down very quickly. I am supposed to rest today entirely and then, as long as the contractions do not come back, I can go back to a normal routine tomorrow.

Thanks for all your support ladies. I hope you never have as scary a night/morning as we did today, but if you do, the group support here is priceless. 

FWIW, the doctor said that I was experiencing "mild but rhythmic contractions". I kind of dread finding out what "strong" contractions are, but hopefully we don't find out for another 19-20 weeks!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    Wonderful update!! Hopefully your were just dehydrated, which can cause the cramps. A nice long, closed cervix is a very good thing :) We're all thinking of you.
