Are we sure we can't just skip to Friday? I am pretty certain it might be safer if I just stay in bed today. My 1 dog speed all over herself in her kennel twice yesterday so she spent all night in the kennel to because I didn't want to smell her so that was a mess this morning. And then my other dog decides to poop in the house. He hasn't don't that since I potty training him 6 yrs ago! And it's raining outside. Blah.

I also have to go into work today and there is a meeting with the new doctor and the dr who just quit because of all the malarkey (and is the reason I still have a FT job) will be there. It's not going to be awkward at all.

So since I feel like today would be a good day to start stress eating. What is your favorite go to stress food?

Oh geez @aggiebug‌ -- rough start to the day! Hopefully it zooms by!

Still on "vacay" -- I sound like such an ungrateful bitch, but being with family 24/7 has really not been all that relaxing.

On the plus side though-- my little babella has been kicking up a storm lately and since being on vacation my bump has seriously POPPED! It's fun actually looking pregnant in photos and people asking me when I'm due.

So fill me in-- any interesting threads that I should go back to for some fun reading?

Yay, up early and actually online. I have to go wake up DS in a few minutes so I can get breakfast in him before we head to the gym. I hate waking up a sleeping child, but he never sleeps this late!

@aggiebug I'm not one to specifically stress eat, but I do love Haribo Sour Spaghetti or mini chocolate bars (halloween sized) when I'm eating junk and destressing at the end of a long day. Or Ben and Jerry's ice cream. half a pint does wonders.

Mmm cookie butter.

So I had my first clear baby dream. I mean I've had dreams of babies in general but last night I delivered my baby on our couch... It was super realistic in that there was zero mess and it lasted 40 mins from 1st contraction to skin to skin

The best part is the hair. So I have the thickest hair ever... I can't get out of a salon appointment in less than 3.5 hours and usually leave with wet hair because I can't sit any longer. I know I will have a baby with a full head of hair.

So yeah, my little Charlotte (crazy the name was right in the dream) was born with a full on Elvis coiffe. Jet black and fully styled. It. Was. Awesome.

OAN: Who's the smart girl who gave her husband his debit card not realizing she was going to need to stop and buy her lunch today? This girl right here...so, I threw a bag of Doritos and a bottle of water in my lunchbox for today.

My breakfast so far this morning has consisted of a bag of Hailey's goldfish that I found in the car and a 100Grand candy bar. Yep, it's already that kind of day. I just want to go home and crawl back into bed, but that would mean having to go back out to the car and drive home in the rain - I guess I will just stay at work.

So excited today! This evening is my a/s and afterwards we're headed up to Swizzle for Oktoberfest. Also handing in Surprise's registration form at the pediatrician before that. And we pick up the car Monday evening!

since coming back from vacation we have been seriously lacking in food stuffs. Most notably, we have no lunch fixings. We were supposed to go to the store to pick up essentials EVERY DAY THIS WEEK, but due to other night time commitments, forgetfulness, and downright laziness on both our parts, we are now buying lunch, again, and haven't made it to the store. We are going to a musical tonight, so hopefully I can remember to run to the CVS on my lunch break and pick up bread at least otherwise carrying lunches will be a total loss this week.

Good morning ladies! I'm running on VERY little sleep due to back ache from hell. This morning, to brighten my day, I asked my boss how much maternity leave I get. It is listed in the employee manual as being handled on an individual basis. Turns out, nobody in the company (only 8 employees) has ever taken maternity leave, so I get to determine how much I get. I just need to submit the length of time I want and approximately when I will be taking it.

I'm REALLY excited about that, but it makes it harder! We have to determine what we can afford.

How much would you take? Money/budget IS an issue in this house.....

Was really stressing last night after DH and I were at a standstill on what to name baby girl #3, but this morning, we both reached a decision after sleeping on it. I usually chafe at Anglicizing ethnic names, but I really love the name Sakura, which means "cherry blossom" in Japanese and Korean. It's pronounced without any inflection, but we would say it with the second syllable stressed: sa-KU-ra. He wants to pronounce it sa-KO-ra, but I don't like that at all because it's not how it's spelled, and I don't want to spell it differently because it changes its meaning altogether for me. If that makes any sense. Anyway, now we just need to decide on a middle name that flows with it.

@willvilljill having only 8 employees, we do not follow FMLA and we don't follow STD either.

I work 100% from home, so things are a bit different. We will be hiring a nanny when I go back to work, but I'll still be home. I was originally thinking 6 weeks and wasn't too stressed about it, but I'm thinking 8 now. I have no clue. I'm torn.

I need to talk to DH about it too, but wanted to talk it out with you ladies first

@kkleigh absolutely none of it is paid. working from home, we will have a nanny come in when i go back to work, so the age of the babies for care won't be an issue (rule wise).

My poor DS was up every hour after 12 a.m. He has a runny nose, fever and a cough. I'm having trouble getting him to drink anything.... it sucks seeing little ones sick and not being able to do much.

@ckimberley14‌ - there is a ring sling baby carrier called Sakura Bloom and they are awesome, you will have to get one!!
@willvilljill‌ - that is awesome that they are being flexible! I would say definitely take a minimum of 12 weeks. It will fly by.

Peanut was up twice last night crying and the second time I had to fix her a bottle to get her to relax. I have the hardest time falling asleep after getting up though so I was awake from 4-5 trying meditation and hypnobirthing techniques to shut my brain off! Mommas tired and it's rainy and I plan on me getting out my pajamas today.

@aggiebug‌ I hear you!! How I wish I could just skip to Friday. I am sorry you had a bad start to the day. I am not a stress eater. I just can't get myself to eat anything when I am stressed out.
I had a terrible day myself. I am just so tired and I have no energy left for anything. I had a kid who lost his dog yesterday and could not stop crying through the whole of my class. Loss of any kind is something I totally suck at dealing with. Anyways, I tried really hard to put the child in a better mood but it was of no use. I feel like such a failure today

I slept really good until about 4:30 this morning, and then my body felt the need to go to the restroom every 30 min.

Last night DH was putting lotion on my stomach and he got really concerned with my stretch marks. I had to explain for the most part they don't hurt but I have a couple that hurt at times, but that's normally when I feel like I am growing.

@kefttsc that stinks it's all unpaid, but working from home is great! I'm taking 12 weeks and all the ladies I work with did as well. But we get 6 weeks on STD and then I have some paid time off saved, so I'll be paid for all 12 weeks. If I wasn't being paid for all of it, I'd probably only be able to take about 8.

I've been hearing about a woman on our floor who doesn't wash her hands after using the bathroom. Totally gross and apparently she's famous for it. I've never been in the bathroom when she was, so I never knew WHO it was...well, I found out yesterday. She's an HR MANAGER!!!! She deals with people all day and doesn't wash her hands after using the bathroom!! Some say, oh maybe she hand sanitizes at her desk. Great...what about every door she touches on her way back to her desk?!? Ew...I haven't touched a door knob around here with my bare hand since I found out. Now that I know it's someone in HR, I'm even more grossed out. We've put signs up in the bathroom about washing your hands after using it and everything and she still doesn't. What is wrong with this woman?!?

@chickyclg do stretch marks hurt? Mine haven't arrive yet, but I'm sure they will......

I think for the most part all of us have had an off week. I'm sorry for everyone with sick kids, husband fights, and just feeling blah!

I'm starting my morning slowly here. Today is my last day home from work. While I'm ready to go back, I'm also not. Being home for 2 weeks totally solidified my decision to SAHM after baby.

So today I've got a docs appt, and then the vet is meeting me at my MIL's house to check my dog. Then DH and I are going back in town for dinner with some friends.

Every morning we make a waffle and egg for DD and I heat up a breakfast sandwich and eat that on the way to school. This morning I left mine sitting out on teh console while she was getting buckled and of course she wanted mine. She ended up eating all of my sandwich and most of her food!

I am not eating a pop tart out of the vending machine at work.

He was talking about Henry and how he pictures playing with him, and teaching him sports, and helping him with homework. He was talking about how he thinks his grandfather (George) would be honored and proud for having a namesake since this baby will be the only person carrying on the family name (DH is the last boy), and seriously . . . I almost cried. It was so sweet to see how much he's been thinking about this and dreaming about our boy. I told him then and there that Henry George is the only choice. I prefer Nathan James, but not to the degree he LOVES Henry. I suggested both in the first place, too, so it's no like I dislike it by any means. I think seeing DH so in love with it and our boy made me fall in love with it too. So Henry George it is, though I got him to SWEAR his name is Henry alone without Hank as a nickname, because I just can't get on board with that haha. I feel so much better knowing who is in there. My little Henry

@krefttsc Are you able to use any sick time for pay? I know you said it's "unpaid leave but using sick/personal time can help cover the bills during that time if they'll let you. I have 7 weeks saved up, plus short term disability with maternity coverage (so I'll get 3,000 in disability in addition to my sick pay) so I'm taking my full 12 weeks. Depending on your budget I'd take between 6 and 12 weeks.

@ckimberley14 Sakura is very pretty. One thing as a heads up, it's also the name of a Japanese Steak House chain. If there are none near you, screw it and name her that because it's lovely and exotic. If they are near you, just make sure it doesn't bother you! We considered Henry James for a while until we realized that's the name of an author, so it altered our opinions!

I'm so pregnant because I just cried about YOUR baby name. I love it! I have always loved the name Henry (it was on our list too), and I totally understand what you are talking about with the starry eyed. CONGRATULATIONS and we can't wait to "meet" Henry!!

I will probably have about 2 weeks of PTO saved up by then (I take a lot of PTO for dog sports and beach trips....), so I'm thinking 8 weeks so that I can get paid for 2 of them and unpaid for 6. Is 8 really enough for two babies?

Thanks for all the ladies who suggested dinner ideas last night. We went for angel hair with a TJ's tomato sauce and garlic bread. I can never think of things to make anymore. All I can think of is a Thanksgiving feast and I am much to0 tried for that. BTW- I NEED cookie butter now. Mmmmm.
