So DD is almost 11 weeks. We are slowly working towards a loose schedule. She usually takes a short evening nap for 30 mins around 6:30 or 7, then we put her down for good at 10. Sometimes she will fall asleep and just not wake up. It screws up our whole night. At this age are you pushing your schedule or still letting LO lead?

Re: Naps that F up our "schedule"
Baby G born 6/6/14, 37 weeks 1 day due to preeclampsia. 5lb12oz 19"
#2 due Christmas 2016.
Up at 7:30ish
Nap for about an hour at 8:30
Nap for three to four hours around 11:30/noon
Nap for about an hour at 5/6ish
Down for the night around 8:30/9
Sometimes she's so cranky around 7/7:30, that I'll put her to bed early. That usually means she'll wake up around 1 or 2 to eat instead of sleeping through the night, but I just deal with it. If I try and keep her up when she's cranky, it just gets harder and harder to get her to bed.

Naps are loose but typically around this schedule:
8:30-9 for an hour
~12 for two hours
4-4:30 for 60-90 minutes.
At first it probably didn't mean a lot to him but now all those cues send his body into sleep mode. It doesn't seem to matter if we just woke him up from a nap to start the bedtime routine or if he had been up or a couple hours. He still seems to sleep the same at night
It's worked for all three kids so far. If there is a fourth I wouldn't even dare try something different. While a baby can do whatever he needs to do during the day, I need to be able to count on his going to bed when I need my sleep!
