So DD is almost 11 weeks. We are slowly working towards a loose schedule. She usually takes a short evening nap for 30 mins around 6:30 or 7, then we put her down for good at 10. Sometimes she will fall asleep and just not wake up. It screws up our whole night. At this age are you pushing your schedule or still letting LO lead?
Still letting her lead. She's usually so cranky by 730/8ish that I just put her to bed and she goes to sleep. Of course, then she's up at 1 or 3, eats and goes back down. I'd love to have her go to bed at 9 when I get off of work, then sleep until 6ish!

We let her lead, DD is 8w - some days she takes more naps that others but lately we have been putting her down at around 8pm and she's down until at least 1:30. The more naps she takes during the day results in her waking more frequently during the night but I think she is still too little to try and get her on a schedule. We have a flexible routine but we just adjust based off of what she is wanting at the time.
Up at 7:30ish Nap for about an hour at 8:30 Nap for three to four hours around 11:30/noon Nap for about an hour at 5/6ish Down for the night around 8:30/9
Sometimes she's so cranky around 7/7:30, that I'll put her to bed early. That usually means she'll wake up around 1 or 2 to eat instead of sleeping through the night, but I just deal with it. If I try and keep her up when she's cranky, it just gets harder and harder to get her to bed.

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.
I let mine lead. The only thing I did do is encourage sleep at night. If she's awake at night, it's only for food then she's straight back off and that can happen 3 times, just the once or not at all.
I feel like a schedule is sort of pointless since they can change routine during growth spurts or developmental stages and it isn't worth the fight to stick to something that isn't going to work for long.
She was mostly STTN from about 11pm-5am from 8 weeks(ish) but lately she's been going down around 7pm, waking for about 2-3 hours later, going down closer to midnight then waking up once at a random time for food and back to sleep until 6. Naps through the day are anyone's guess, there's no logic to them but they do happen. It'll probably change again next time she grows and I'll start encouraging a schedule when she's about 6 months if she doesn't have a routine of her own by then.
Letting her lead. Sometimes she just needs an earlier bedtime. One of the best parts of the newborn stage is how flexible you can be with them IMO. There is plenty of time to get on a stricter schedule later on.
We let her lead. She naps every 2 hours for 45-60 mins during the day right up until bedtime. It's 9:30 pm and she's technically napping right now since she will wake up for her bottle anytime then she will be down till about 3:00. I can't keep her up or else she will be miserable.
Let DS lead. Typically goes down between 8-9 and wakes between 2-3, eat and back down until 6 or 7. (However the past two days he has went down at 7 and woke at 1 and then 5 and slept until 7)
Naps are loose but typically around this schedule: 8:30-9 for an hour ~12 for two hours 4-4:30 for 60-90 minutes.
Letting him lead. Luckily, we've gotten to where he goes to sleep between 9:30 and 10:30 at night. We usually feed him right before bedtime. His MOTN feeding can wildly fluctuate, though--anywhere from as early as 1am till 4:30! If he wakes up before 4, though, I know I'm doomed to another MOTN feeding before I'm supposed to get up for real.
I let baby lead all day long ...until bedtime. From day one I decide when "bedtime" is. We bathe, feed in a darkened room, put baby down.
At first it probably didn't mean a lot to him but now all those cues send his body into sleep mode. It doesn't seem to matter if we just woke him up from a nap to start the bedtime routine or if he had been up or a couple hours. He still seems to sleep the same at night
It's worked for all three kids so far. If there is a fourth I wouldn't even dare try something different. While a baby can do whatever he needs to do during the day, I need to be able to count on his going to bed when I need my sleep!
