We had two ultrasounds on the same day last week! This was the best shot! We found out that this baby has typical chromosomes (MaterniT21) and that it's a boy! We were ecstatic to see the word "negative" on the screen when they pulled up the MaterniT21 paperwork. DH and I looked at each other at the same time and teared up! We also went "public" on our blog with this picture of DS!
ETA: Don't know why that posted sideways but I'm too lazy to figure out how to flip it right side up!
Yay! I love reading this thread! I had my first ultrasound today!! DH and I were both wiping away tears when we saw LO wiggling with that little heart beating at 172!! They said everything looks great and baby is measuring exactly on time! I will be 9 weeks tomorrow
Our chromosomally normal little dude (thanks Maternit21) at 12w 3d, chillin' with his feet up. He was a wiggly little bean and we got to hear his heartbeat today. So in love.
12w5d had our NT scan yesterday ! The tech gave us this awesome/scary pic to take home.
One of the pics that I got looks exactly like that. I think it's just the way that a 12 week old or so looks when you have the bones of the face showing through, especially the jaw. My husband and I joked about getting to show my father (a geek of the highest order) our Venom baby.
Here is our little gummy bear at 9 weeks. Strong healthy heart beat of 174. The ultrasound tech had to give me a minute to pull myself together as I cried so hard I couldn't stay still.
I'm so excited to show you all my u/s picture. I had myself worried to tears yesterday so I was beyond realized this morning that everything was measuring according to my lmp. Last time I went I was a week behind but LO must have had a growth spurt. 11w1d with a HB of 178
My little bean was showing us his backside .. 2 little arms top and bottom and a nice head! This was a week ahi 10 wk 5 d can't wait for next week to see how much the bean has changed at 12 wk 3 d! And hoping there are side profile shots of the baby - too active last time! Haha
I love all of these updates! I am hoping I will have one of my own to share after my US this afternoon (my anxiety is through the roof).
I mentioned it in a previous post regarding anonymity, but just in case you guys don't read that thread, thought maybe it would be worth mentioning here too.
I definitely don't want to be a raincloud, but wanted to at least mention that some of these gorgeous pictures have your personal information (full real names, hospitals, birthdays), so it may be worth editing if that is something you are concerned about. There are some crazies, so wanted to point it out since I know we can post out of understandable excitement!
I'm not skinny by any means. I would probably be described as average. But man with 11 weeks comes this blump that's going no where. Before it would increase during the day but was pretty easy to hide. And I know where the baby is and it's no where near that bump. So seriously, What is in there? I poop regularly. I haven't swallowed an entire watermelon lately. Is it my organs? Fluids? Am I a giant water balloon?
I was trying to find something to wear to work and when I showed dh an outfit he said it looked good. Then I unbuttoned the jacket and he was like "whoa, keep the jacket buttoned unless you want people to know today!" Yeah. Thanks. I need to keep this under wraps for the next month. I already feel frumpy. I might come up with a fake fundraiser called the pumpkin challenge where I must dress up like a pumpkin everyday in October to raise money for a good cause.
Anyone have any better ideas?
I am with you Snedge! I am a very average size "medium" (size 8), at work people are nosey and I have noticed a lot of "looky-looing" my way, I think they think I am letting myself go-a few years ago I lost a fair amount of weight and have kept it off, now Im getting a pooch- my hope was to write off the "sudden gain" to quitting smoking and have made a few jokes about it like " yeah, I quit smoking and carrots all at the same time haha" I dont think anyone is buying it though. My best cover up as far as fashion at work is concerned is wearing a lot of colourful scarfs and dark solid shirts.
This, exactly. I'm trying to pass it off as "being excited about fall" wearing big sweaters and scarves. I've found that maternity low-band pants do help (or so I tell myself). My coworkers give me the side-eye every time I reach for a snack. Little do they know, I'm trying to keep myself from getting wildly nauseous, and grow a human. Waiting two more weeks to tell work and I'm not sure I'm going to make it.
Had our first u/s yesterday. Everything looks awesome and heartbeat of 180. Dh even cried. I might be crazy but I swear in the second pic the baby has a ninja turtle mask on lol..
Here is our LO from our NT scan today. It was the first U/S my H got to see and he was so excited. They told us they think it's a boy, but I am not clinging to that just yet.
Just had my 12 week appt today. First one with New OB. Everything is looking great. Baby was rubbing it's eyes/face. So cute! I can't upload pic on Mobile for some reason. Might try to add it later
11 weeks 6 days today! Heartbeat 164. Baby was facing down with his hands up by his head. Kinda looks like he's praying! Loved seeing him wiggle and act like he was trying to get comfy!
Just wanted to share how our pup sleeps. She always sleeps snuggled up where her new sibling is. She places her ear right where I actually find the heartbeat. It's awesome that animals are that sensitive to the changes.
And for the hide it at work crowd, I've done good with those sweaters that have the long sides that just hang down in front. Drape em over my giant boobies and it covers the bump from the side anyway. Oh and black. Lots of black.
I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I had a complete meltdown when the tech asked me to lay down on the table. My anxiety was absolutely off the charts, and I had flashbacks to when I was at my US for my last pregnancy and saw that the baby had stopped growing.
I am so happy and relieved to be able to share what they described as perfect (9w4d). My PgAL brain can hopefully take a rest
Re: ~* HUMP DAY BUMP DAY (24/9) *~
And then with it to see our previously freaked out 1st time grandparents really start to get excited.
