Thanks for the support ladies. It means a lot. Kid is napping now. I think all the crying wore her out. Im letting her sleep so i can finish once upon a time with no guilt. I need a mommy break.

And some ice cream... As soon as dh gets off the phone with his mom im making him go get me a blizzard.

@Kefttsc I agree with the others, your names are fabulous and to hell with anyone who doesn't agree. I do wish people didn't feel the need to voice their opinions though. My brother has been trying to convince us to change Madeline's name since we decided on it because he hates it. My SIL and GrandmotherIL have said, Don't call her Maddie. Well, actually we plan to, so suck it! You don't have to!

@bhjones I'm sorry your DS didn't give you his normal reaction. I'm pretty sure that would crush me, I'm far too sensitive. I get upset when the dogs aren't super happy to see me when I come home from a trip!

@jaztastic Your booger story made me laugh out loud, I love it!

@thegoodpotato I love your deck and your view! When my DH built ours, he wasn't nearly so creative.

@HerHighness I think you handled that situation perfectly. As others have said, my mom did something similar when I stole a Mini Mouse pencil from a store and I still remember it. I was humiliated.

Shew...this one has been moving fast today! Or maybe I'm just slow because work has picked up lately. When I was bored, I wanted work. Now I have some, and all I want is to Bump!

@psychobutthead- My son goes by his middle name. It was a compromise I was willing to make with my ex, who wanted to have his son named after him but since I didn't really like his name then I was in charge of choosing his middle name. Then we introduced him by his middle name and we've called him that ever since. It gets confusing at times but nothing that can't be handled. If I had my way I would have just choose his middle name as his first, but unfortunately I had to compromise with DS's dad.

@HerHighness - you did the right thing! Parenting is hard and it sucks sometimes. It's easy to want to shield her from her own pain, but then she will never truly learn. A suggestion (if you're open to them), after she returns the prize it's okay to praise her for doing the right thing. Explain how proud you are of her and that you understand how hard that was. Let her know that she's going to make a lot of mistakes in her life and she has to do her best to correct those mistakes. Good luck.

Other than dealing with some minor back pain, my Monday doesn't suck that bad. I am a little pouty when I read the A/S updates. As thrilled as I am to read them, it's just a reminder that I don't have mine until Oct 6th.

@Izzy0927, I'm with you on the shopping floodgates. I don't want to shop more, but I barely have clothes and feel like I *have* to. I'm waiting for Old Navy to have a sale so I can stock up on tops.

That said, somebody please discourage me from buying this dress for the Bahamas wedding I'm going to in two weeks. The first one I bought was a tent on me, so now I'm searching for a new one. I've fallen in love, but someone needs to smack me back into reality:

I never heard of the site until she started posting her account on fb. I could see having one if its for charity or you plan on doing something to raise money for charity. But I think having one so you could have an abortion is a really bad idea. I wouldn't be public about having an abortion because I'm not ready or asking others to pay for it. Thats IMO is crazy.

@KKleigh10 - I hear you, RE Facebook. I hate posting anything about being pregnant on FB- it's like an open invitation to the peanut gallery of stupid comments. For example, last week I posted something like "I'm exhausted- going to bed early tonight!" - totally a stupid post, I know. Anyway enter douchy guy friend (childless, btw) who posted "Just wait until you have the baby!"

For fuck's sake. Obviously, I will be sleep deprived after having a baby. Who isn't? Except, of course, douchy guy friend who does not have kids nor spend time with kids. However, I was just saying I was tired NOW, dammit.

That's why I never post anymore on FB- no matter what I put, people turn it into an opportunity to say stupid crap regarding pregnancy or babies. So i can only imagine what type of idiocy would come out if I actually put up pregnancy pictures or whatnot

If people want to know what I look like pregnant (and they don't live nearby), I'll send them a picture, but I won't post it publically.

Also, I pregnant-rage blocked douchey guy friend from seeing my future updates. He probably didn't deserve it, but it made me feel better.

So I just realized this Saturday is our nieces birthdays. And despite Josh going and shooting pool the other night his brother still hasn't invited him to their party. So I guess I'll be buying one of the presents tomorrow and wrapping them to send to my MIL's house.

I really don't think family should be this way. I know my family was really screwed up but we put aside our bickering long enough to celebrate birthdays Well we did at least to celebrate DD's. I guess I feel it shouldn't be this way since my stepfather always ruined holidays and events for me.

Marrying Dh I never pictured it being this way.

Oh...that brings me to a rant...TL;DR: Maternity cocktail dress designers need help!

I ordered a cocktail dress for a wedding on Sat. I got all ready, including maternity pantyhose because my legs are SO white, put on the dress and holy cleavage Batman! First of all, my bra kept poking out and I didn't have one that covered LESS boob. This one barely covers more than the nips as it is. Second, the V neckline plunged REAL low. Why would you do this to a pregnant woman?!? When I turned to the side, you could see my bra, no getting around it. And I can NOT go bra-less. I tried dress tape for the peek-a-boo bra issue and figured the vulgar cleavage and side bra view would just have to be ok. I should also mention, the bride's family is SUPER judgmental and I could already hear the comments. Well, the dress wouldn't stick to the tape so it did no good. I came out of our room in tears, DH already in his suit and everything, me all ready to go and DH said, Wow, babe...that's a lot of cleavage. I explained that I knew this and all that I had just gone through in our bathroom and how frustrated I was. After some talking, he convinced me we didn't have to go. I wasn't going to be comfortable. If I attempted to dance, a boob would have popped out for sure. So, we didn't go to the wedding in the end, which made DH happy because he really wanted to watch football. I feel like an ass because dinner was served at the reception and I really wanted to go. But, after my crying, I would've had to do my makeup over AND after fussing with the dress, we were likely going to be late to the ceremony. I guess this is what I get for letting the date creep up on me and having to rush order a dress at the last minute in a city that is NOT maternity friendly.

Moral of the story: Order your dress as soon as you find out about the wedding and try it on ASAP!!!

Pretty pleased with myself.

Haha I'm glad you like it! I had been taking pics of this stuff for a really long time and it always made me so sad. My dad and I always would point out solo mittens and gloves on the ground to eachother and it's the saddest thing in the world to see a poor little lost mitten out there without it's mate... or a hand to keep warm! So I decided to post them all somewhere. I have some good ones lined up for the next few days though.

Funny, I am actually born in June too! Haha. It was also just a really special month for me & my bf. We met this girl named June (in June) at the wakarusa music festival that we went to. I fell in love with the name & found out the next week or so that I was pregnant!
