No more hormonal BC for me, I'll probably go back to an IUD until I can convince DH to get the big V. We haven't discussed it much yet but all of his friends have gone through it already, I'm hoping that will help!
Anyone ever tried the Nuvaring? I'm kind of curious about it. I have taken the pill before without problem, however I know how I can be and don't want to run the risk of forgetting a pill or 2 while taking care of a new baby. I am considering Mirena which is also a hormonal form of BC but I liked having a little more control or having the option to skip a "period" with the pill and that wouldn't be an option with Mirena. I'm also kind of a control freak and would always be worrying about an atopic pregnancy (sp?) or it coming or and me not knowing, etc. So this leads me to being slighty curious about Nuvaring...I'm wanting some feedback from anyone who has previous tried it?
I used it in college and really hated it. I gained a ton of weight and the doctor kept telling me it had nothing to do with the ring. It was the only thing that changed so I still feel like it did. I found it uncomfortable and ended up just going back on the oral pill. I don't recommend it.
Nothing. Props to the Husbands who are doing the do. I don't trust any of it. I went seven years no birth control before deciding to do it again. I think I can go another 3 before we have our last one. Then DH will do the do.

I was planning Essure until I really started researching and saw the whole possible nickel allergy stuff. I have a nickel allergy, so I don't want to chance it.
DH is going for a consult (better be soon!) for a vasectomy but he's scared, and was reading about a possible prostate cancer link. He needs to talk to his Dr thoroughly about it.
I have been reading about a tubal but would want it done without general. The one surgery I had with general was horrible. I dry heaved for about 10 hours after I came out of it, and none of the meds they gave me helped. If I can get it done with a local right after birth with the epidural still in, I may go for it. I want to talk that option over with my Dr though. I know it would make hubby happy lol
Re: Post Baby BC
But mostly because I had ovarian cancer and I'm not waiting for my remaining ovary to try to kill me too.
