Car seat recommendations?

Hi ladies I'm in need of car seat recommendations. I currently have the chicco keyfit 30 and we have been really happy with it. We are ready to buy the next car seat and I'm lost. I don't know where to start. Please help me. TIA!

We have the Britax roundabout and have been happy with it. We are rear facing as long as possible and LO seems completely comfortable even though her legs are getting long.

We started with the Britax infant seat and then moved L into the Advocate in my car and Marathon in H's car. All of them have been great and even though L is pretty tall, he still seems comfortable RF.

We have 2 marathons and 2 Diono radians XRTs. The radians are much better for extended RFing. My 2y9month old is still comfortable RFing in the radian but there is no way she would be in the marathon. The radian has low sides too so she can hang her legs over the sides or sit criss cross. My 15 month old is in the marathons.

Love our Britax Boulevard! The boys are still rear facing at 2 and 25lbs and do not seem to have any issue with it. It is a big one, though. We drive a Subaru sedan, and it is tricky to get behind them if someone tries to sit in the middle seat, but it's not a big deal for us.

This one is good for ERFing too. There is a ton of leg room. We had one but gave it to my parents because it was so wide.

We have the Britax Roundabout in DHs car and Marathon in mine. Can't speak to the extended rear facing. LO is a peanut so I don't know that we will ever have issues with that, but love both seats.....I personally don't think you can go wrong with anything Britax.

Thanks ladies were heading out to look soon. DH has a 4 runner and I have a compact car - Lexus IS 350 4 door and want a carseat that will fit in both cars I commute in the Lexus / at least a 30 minute commute each way and I can tell DS is not comfortable and needs a bigger carseat.

We have the Chico next fit and I have to say I DON'T love it. The sides are tall and getting M in without bumping her head is tough (we have a Toyota highlander) the straps always end up underneath her and are difficult to tighten once she is buckled in. I do not recommend it

wish we were rich and could just go out and buy a different one but now we are stuck with it for a long time. It is easy to install.

@Mayzie15‌ I HIGHLY recommend joining car seats for the Littles on Facebook. You will learn a ton and gets some great recommendations.

What is DSs age/height/weight? That information is important for finding an appropriate convertible seat.

Are you wanting to do extended rear facing? (DS should stay rearfacing until a minimum of age 2 and ideally until age 4, if you didn't know that already)

. DS is 13 months, height is 50th percentile not sure exact height, and weight is 23-24 pounds. I'm going to try to rear face as long as possible and hoping getting a bigger carseat will help. We ended up with the Recarro and hoping it will work. Had several people recommend it in store and liked the safety features. One man had a mini cooper so hoping it will fit in my car too.

FYI: the Recaro has high sides and an incredibly short seat depth and trying to put a toddler in it is often referred to as 'toddler origami'. It also will not last nearly as long as many other seats available.

The Chicco Nextfit and the Graco 4Ever are both excellent ERF seats and fit very well in smaller cars.

Another Britax fan here! I truly believe they are the safest on the market. We have the Boulevard and Marathon, I love both but think the Marathon gets your better bang for your buck.

@ Kmc84 Returned the Recaro the sides were to high. We have several friends who aren't happy with their Britax or nextfit. We ended up getting the Diono radian RXT. Slimmer carseat, ERF, and easy for me to get him in and out of my car and high safety ratings. Really is the best choice for us - since I will eventually need 2 in my back seat. Thank you for all your help
