Clearly, there are a bunch of women in here with no life...behaving like trolls for entertainment. I just happened to run across the forum and definitely won't be back. Must be awful to be so miserable. (And no, I'm not a FTM.)

@nbkist‌ and @laurakwessel‌ - very sincere question here.... How much of this post and others do you typically read daily/weekly? I usually show up sporadically between work trips and time zone differences, so I can see how reading 1 or 2 you might miss the "good stuff." Honestly curious.

I'm relatively new to TB, so haven't been entirely overburdened by the repeat offenders (plus I'm having a great day so far), so I have some patience left over. But have you seen many of the other actually veeeery supportive posts by these same women you call trolls? Many of them within minutes of the gif parties that seem to bug you?

I was going to say the same thing. I haven't done too much posting of my own (because most of my q's can be answered by google, my doc, or have already been asked). On the threads where you say we're mean/harsh, did you take the time to read through them? Did you see the parts where in the past couple days we've been cursed out and told we're shitty wives because we aren't 1950's sex slaves etc? (Sorry still kind of fired up about that one. If op is contrite, then so be it) and have you read the countless other posts where these same women you call harsh offer hugs, advice, and jokes to make us laugh through the hard times? I know for a fact that if i posted about a problem it would be met with nothing but support!

Sorry I don't have time to read every post. I was just stating the reactions I read on this particular post were harsh. I did read through over 10 pages of responses. I do get that things get over posted or not necessarily posted where they belong. I also understand the excitement of a new mom thinking she is finally or already showing so I am not going to take that away from them.

In the amount of time it took you to read 10 pages of replies you could have read 20 other threads and gotten a more accurate feel of the women on this board.

maybe check out babycenter or another site. we aren't trying to be mean, but when we're called mean unnecessarily, i suppose we sometimes become self-fulfilling prophecies. all @Swoon13 and others mean is: if you do not know the context of our responses, do not comment on them. we have spent the past 3 days or so being insulted by newbs who can't bother to use the search function or read the post about being new to the group. i'm not trying to be mean at all. i love this group and sincerely wish nothing but the best for every single person on it.

I beg to differ, if you told me the same kind of thing, "I don't have time to do my own research, etc., but let me tell you my opinion on what I obviously know nothing about since I won't put in the time", you will absolutely get the same response with a little added sarcasm in my voice.

Your friends and family may have time to coddle your lack of preparation before judgement. We are not your friends.

No, I don't need another site. I was excited when I found out I was pregnant again and thought I may build some friendships like I did with my July 2010 son and May 2012. Things have obviously changed.

and we are excited for you. we are excited for the joy that every woman on this board feels. i'm trying to be diplomatic here, so i apologize if it does not come across that way. but can you possibly see our side? about how jumping in without taking the time to understand our "snarky" comments? there are a lot of amazing and inspiring women on this group and if you take the time to get a feel for how the group works (search function, etc) then i'm sure you will find that the same is true for your previous boards.

edit: my brain is tired and i feel like the last sentence could be worded differently, but not sure how. sorry!

thanks @kristieandjason2010. i guess i just try to be diplomatic like i said only because, having bipolar disorder, i am the QUEEN of saying something and having it come out wrong. lol. i could write a book about that. so i get that sometimes you say shit, and don't think, and then later feel bad for hurting people. i am definitely sensitive to that. i know people are excited and just want to post sometimes and don't really take the time to follow guidelines because they're in "excited for baby" mode. but i guess my point is: the board would be a lot nicer place if people did. less need for this supposed meanness I keep hearing about. lol
