Tips to dry up my supply

Now that #2 is on the way, I've decided to completely wean and let my supply dry up. Anyone have any good tips? My boobs are killing me!!!

Re: Tips to dry up my supply

  • I quit pumping at work when I got pregnant and my supply was tanking anyway. B was still nursing 2-3x/day (don't ask, don't refuse) when I was home for the summer until he bit me hard enough to leave marks on my already sore nips. Then I just cut him off cold turkey and said they were broken. I don't know that he understood, but it worked. He was upset about it for a couple days, but was fine having a bottle of wcm instead. Like @WorkinIt‌ , it was bad for about a week, then it was fine. I didn't do anything to reduce my supply except be pregnant.

  • Thanks ladies! I'm in the same boat as @vitafelix‌. I was down to 2x a day. Just morning and night. I decide to stop cold turkey too. It's been about 40 hours. Just wondering when the pain will subside. I'm hearing about a week. Yikes! Love the "broken" idea. Lol.
  • The first 48 hours were the worst for me.  It still took about 2 weeks to fully dry up though.  Cold cabbage leaves really helped, seriously!  Google it :)

    Good luck!

  • Sudafed and cold cabbage leaves and hand express only when you can't bear it anymore.
  • I googled the cold cabbage leaves and was surprised how popular that is! I'll try anything! This is misery! I don't want to take anything either because I'm pregnant. Fingers crossed that this eases up soon.
