41 weeks and getting restless!

I actually can't take it anymore! Am so uncomfortable and sore and tired and achy - not to mention i want to meet my bab already!!! Feel like I've been in first stages of labour for nearly 48hours as well.

Anyone in a similar boat? Or has been? I need some tips and advice on how to not go crazy x

Re: 41 weeks and getting restless!

  • I'm a ftm so can't give to much advice but I have been in early labor for a couple days now. I'm just trying to relax at home as long as possible because I can eat and be more comfortable here than in the hospital. I'd rather go in further along than wait there for 12 hours to make progress. Just put your feet up, drink some tea, and watch Netflix! ;)
  • I'm 40+3 with my 4th. Never thought this one would be late... but here I am. I guess all in due time baby will come, but I seriously know how you are feeling. I feel like my body is failing me, even know my dates could potentially be off and I might not even be "due" yet. It's all a guesstimate and no one really knows when baby will be born. Hang in there!!

  • I am 41w1d. Longest I have been pregnant by over a week. So many contractions that do nothing and wake me up in the night. If I wasn't having those, the last week would have been a little bit more bearable. That and pepole are making me angry checking in every day thinking they missed the baby.

  • I just had my little princess at 41+6 so I completely understand your frustration. All I can say is waiting for her to make her appearance on her own was totally worth it and she was worth the wait!
  • I hear ya girl. If one more person tells me "enjoy your rest while you can!!" I'll snap. I'm awake almost every night until midnight and then from 2-5, then up for the day around 7 or 8... Just because I'm uncomfortable!
    Hopefully babies are born soon!!!
  • Glad I'm not the only one - knew I wouldn't but support from fellow sufferers goes further then pity from friends and family!
I've come out in a full Body rash, have completely swollen 'down there' plus contractions started 2 days ago.

I can barely sleep, everything is just so so difficult. I'm just ready to feel normal again and have my special parcel finally - been such a long hard pregnancy and beig overdue is not fun! Getting a sweep tomorrow and booked in to be induced weds - never thought I'd have to consider either!!

Good luck and keep up the good work to all the other soon to be mummies!! Xxx
  • I'm 40+3 and feel your pain. Contractions keep me up at night and then disappear or are very slight during the day. Everyone wants to meet the baby, I can assure them no one is as excited to meet the baby as I am. Ugh! Getting restless. Not even sure how much to cook or stock up on incase baby makes an appearance.
  • I'm 40 weeks today and for the past few days, I've felt like my hips are splitting apart. We're supposed to get a "potentially historic blizzard" Monday night, so I'm even more eager to go into labor sooner rather than later. My MIL is coming to stay with us so that she can be here with DD1 just in case DH and I do need to travel in the snow, so all of these plans are centering around a "what if" scenario. So yeah, I'm totally with you on feeling restless. Everything is up in the air and the uncertainty is making me a little crazy.

  • I'm 40+4 today! I'm getting so frustrated and fed up of people asking me if ive had any signs yet!! I'd tell them if I had!! Lol! And I agree, it's impossible to 'get some rest' as your practically up half the night because you can't sleep :( be easier if baby was here! Wish something would work to trigger labour off!! Xxx
  • I've accepted the fact my little madam won't leave until she's forcibly booted out so now I'm trying to keep myself and other half relaxed and get mentally prepared for our arrival on thurs! Madness, still hasn't sunk in. But I think excitement overwhelms nerves!! Good luck ladies - we're all here for eachother and i love that x
  • 40 + 6 and they just bumped by induction to 2 days later. I know I don't actually want to be induced if I can avoid it, but it was the light at the end of the tunnel.. I almost cried after the phone call... I know it's only 2 days but arghhhh
  • 41 weeks today and im right there with you girls. I feel bad complaining because i had a pretty easy pregnancy overall but this last month was nothing but swollen feet, braxton hicks, no sleep, and being soooo uncomfortable and unable to breath with him sittin so high. I am beyond ready to meet my baby boy and FINALLY have some news to tell the at least half dozen people who contact me every day for updates!! If nothing happens over the weekend im scheduled for induction monday. Its time to evict!
