Breastfeeding

Introduction and Bag Question

Hi Ladies, wanted to say thank you for all the info I've picked up lurking here during my pregnancy! :D
33 weeks, scheduled for induction Oct 29th, with a very big little guy.
Been reading Womanly Art Of BFing, just had my first breastfeeding class Monday and I'm feeling psyched to get going when Lil Noob gets here.

I'll be using a Freestyle pump, and I've really been thinking about getting the Medala bags to pump directly into, but are they really as good of quality to freeze & store? Or is Lanisoh the way to go?
I'm down with a learning curve for most things with baby, but don't want to chance wasting my liquid gold... Anyone care to give opinions?
thanks in advance for any feedback, tips, & suggestions!

  • Pumping directly into bags is asking for mess and like pp said, you don't get an accurate measurement. Pump into bottles, measure, combine, freeze when you have enough to make sense. And bag quality-wise, I prefer the Target brand Up&Up bags actually.
