My go to is cradle right now, but when she's doing a longer session or does seem to be getting what she wants, I switch to football because that seems to reach different ducts better.
I like side lying in general but I doze off and she did a number on my nips so I'm waiting till she's a little bigger/ I'm less sore to do it again.
I switch between cross cradle and football. I was getting sore cracked nipples and my LC told me to switch positions every time. Also I feel like these holds get to different ducts.
I use football every time. I also have to tightly swaddled my DS before we feed otherwise he tries "to help" by putting his hands in his mouth or moving the nipple out.
I'm not BFing anymore, but when I was, football was the only one working for us. It was pretty much the only one they really talked to me about at the hospital anyway since it wouldn't have her laying on the incision.
Cross cradle is how I latch him on. I'll switch between the two during a feeding, especially if I'm trying to drink water. I've done side lying which has helped when I'm exhausted. He leaks badly out of the shield though, so I have to remember to put down a burp cloth.
Finally! My September Siggy Challenge: TV Show I'll Be Binge Watching
I switch between cross cradle and football, but football works best for us.
@jlklatte I have to start swaddling DS, too, I think. He's a flailer, and it's hard enough to get him on with his little head/mouth snapping in every direction. My son, the bullshark.

I usually go with cradle on the left and football on the right...however, if she's super fussy, I'll use football to help get a better latch and to keep her hands/arms from getting in the way

We cradle hold, or I lay down propped on some pillows and let him lay flat on my belly while we nurse. Sadly, I think my boobs are too small to ever side lie nurse

We do football hold the most, she latches the best that way. If we try a cradle hold I latch her with cross and then move my arms. She's getting better with the cradle holds so hopefully we will be able to do that position more soon.
We do cross cradle or cradle the most. I've done football a few times. Since my milk came in though he's been pushing off me and not wanting to latch so we need to experiment more.
I only really tried cross cradle when I was in the hospital it worked the best for supporting her and guiding her towards the boob since she was so small. When we get back to bfing I'm definitely going to be trying the football hold because I often catch myself carrying her around like this. Cradle is just not that comfortable for some reason.
In the hospital we did football hold. But now I have been doing cradle hold. I might try football again soon to see how we still like it. I'm too nervous to try side lying, although the thought of laying down while nursing sounds great!

I was able to efficiently do side lie with DS and only a 36A here! it's worth a try, I promise!
I feel like the opposite. I can't do it because my boobs are huge.i was a 38 f before the milk came in. I had my mom try to help since she works with new moms and a lc, but she said it will be tough because of dense breast tissue. I think you should totally give it a try, you could probably just lay a little more over on your side of it's really an issue.
This is how I felt too, (same size), but I didn't really try all that hard as I've already moved to EPing.
