Large Uterus?

Just had an appointment and the doc said my uterus is bigger than expected for eleven weeks. She said it could mean I'm further along (unlikely), there are TWINS or fiberoids. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Hi there, lurking from March 2015. Same thing happened to me with this pregnancy and last. At 8 week appt doc said my uterus felt more like 12 weeks than 8 and it was possibly twins. No twins either time! He never actually said why it was bigger. I guess I'll ask at my appt tomorrow. Good luck : )

    I am only 8 weeks and yet, you can already actually feel (feel not see) my 'little bubble right above my pubic bone if you know what you're looking for. (I can feel it if I lay flat too...feels like laying on a tiny super-inflated beach ball if I had to describe it).  When I was pregnant with my first, my Uterus measured a little large in the beginning...turns out, it's just they way it tilts/I am built.  No twins, No fibroids, nothing to worry about...just how God made me.

    With DS2 My fundal height consistently measured 4-6 weeks ahead of what I was. No twins, no fibroids, no extra amniotic fluid, no issues at all just a large uterus. I delivered him at 36w 3d and he was 6lbs 8oz and my fundal height measured 42 weeks.

    Thanks guys!! I feel a little less worried. She did order an ultrasound on Tuesday. I'll be twelve weeks and it's my first us so I'm really excited. I'm hoping I just have a large uterus and there's no problems. Twins could be fun tho lol

    Every single time I've been pregnant my uterus has measured bigger, and they always jump to the "maybe it's twins" thing. It never was. Some people just measure bigger !

    My uterus is bigger but my previous pregnancy was twins...so I'm nice and stretched out already. I can feel my uterus way above my pubic bone.
