Any opinions on whether or not I'll fail my glucose test tomorrow because I just ate a crap load of Reese's Minis. Worried now that I'll fail it in the morning.

They told me that the 1/2 of a cupcake I had the night before would not impact my 2 hr test (with fasting). They said it was determined far before I had my PSL or the 1/2 cupcake during the course of the weekend... but for fun can we just start guessing?
Im so surprised at how rude some of you are being!! For those of you being rude, why waste your time typing out a response if you're not gonna be nice about it. Sorry for wasting your precious time! Hope your lo's don't turn out as rude as some of you are.

And somehow we have the ability to tell you about your test that actually requires bloodwork & analysis.... sorry my internet medical skills just aren't that great.
Thats why I said "opinion," you know, since some of you have already had this test done recently. No need for the "snark."
You did say opinion, opinions are like assholes everyone has one. Just because the answers weren't what you expected and no one coddled with their internet medical degree to say it's okay.

OP, there is honesty no way we can even provide opinions on how your body reacts to sugar in the latter stages of pregnancy. You could eat a 2-pound bag of M&Ms eight hours before the test and be fine, or you can eat nothing but lean meat and veggies with a bit of fruit and no grains for six months and fail it horribly.
Unless you want to share your full medical history, dietary food log, and results of bloodwork for the past several years for us to analyze, we can't do anything but piss in the wind. And that's why you're getting the snark, because it's above and beyond to think we could provide you with any information or opinions other than "see what the test results say" or "ask your doctor". And honestly, it's just a bit tiresome to field these sorts of questions all the time.
Im not on here much, but thanks for your informative feedback. I thought eating sweets and such could change it in some way. Why do they tell you to fast then? Nevermind!! Dont answer that. Its ignorant of me to have thought that eating a crapload of chocolate coukd change it some way. But i still think I still couldve done without the snarkiness.

OP - Since you are a newbie... let me give you a tip... telling a board of people how to respond (or how not to respond) is actually rather rude and does not go over very well.
I can't even tell what MY blood sugars are going to do from day to day, and I've been testing 4x a day for almost 5 months now. Apparently I need to eat ham and cheese sandwiches all the time, because I had them for lunch and dinner and today is the best my numbers have been all week.
There, I have my advice. Only eat ham and cheese sandwiches (on gluten-free bread) for the remainder of your pregnancy and you'll be golden.

Is this a serious question?
Yep. Right up there with her previous question on Breached Baby.
I don't owe you any explanation. No worries ladies, no other questions will come from me in the future. I can do without your answers and rude or "snarky" comments. Ever heard of cyber bullying? Maybe you'll need to look that one up yourselves.

In what world have you been cyber bullied? Have you ever experienced REAL bullying in your life? If you had you would know that even suggesting that anything that has happened on this thread was remotely close to bullying is just ridiculous, as well as insensitive to people who have suffered from genuine bullying. You posted a fairly ignorant question on an open internet board without bothering to read previous threads on the subject or do ANY personal research, then you're offended when you don't get hugs and glitter? Why would you want or trust the opinion of people on this board anyway? We aren't doctors, as a group we have a LOT less knowledge on these subjects than WebMD or Wikipedia even! Are you really so lazy that you can't do a little googling? Then you come here, don't get responses you like, and accuse the people who largely provided you with useful responses of cyber bullying?
Honestly OP, I think you owe us an apology, not the other way around.
I ate many, many double stuffed Oreos the night before my 2 hour glucose test, which they asked me to fast for the 8 hours before. I passed. /anecdote. See, OP? That does not help you whatsoever.
The way I see it, you either have GD or you don't. And if you do have it, you'll WANT to fail the test so you and your baby can be properly monitored to be the healthiest you can possibly be throughout this pregnancy and beyond. Good luck with your test. What's done is done. Eat an extra Reese's tonight just in case.
This board is a great group of supportive individuals who tell it like it is and will answer questions directly. I'm sorry that you did not get the answer you were hoping for. I would much rather be told "wow, you're acting kinda dumb" when I'm being dumb, rather than "awww it'll be okay, buttercup."

I know all of the things and I can say with 100% certainty you will have one of two outcomes tomorrow. Pass or fail. Bam! Right from the cyber bully's mouth.
For real though there are some people around here, myself included, that have actually been bullied in their lives and I'd really hate for you to actually experience bullying because your ignorance would really not help. Bye Felicia.

And for what it is worth, I was genuinely curious about your thought process while eating the Reese's. And we could have been PB buddies together. But, nope... now you're gone and you said GBCB. Bummer.
@MissChristineMarie - I am not nearly as peanut butter obsessed... but I can get on board with reeses.

The most dire insult my 7yo can come up with is "peanut butter face". I'm beginning to understand the appeal of the insult with you all discussing peanut butter all day long.
