At the hospital......

Pregnancy was going so well. Was high risk but everything was good. Now at almost 27 weeks my cervix has started opening from the inside. In hospital right now. Contractions getting monitored to see if I'm having them. Steroid shots for baby etc. etc. will be put on progesterone. hope I hold for the rest of this pregnancy.

Prayers! I had a similar experiance with my 1st pregnancy at about the same time and we were able to keep her in the inside until 34+5 weeks. Hopes for a similar or better outcome!

Update: no contractions. So they are sending me home with progesterone suppository. Externally the cervix is hard and closed. They ran a bunch of tests like for amniotic fluid which no one has mentioned any issues. No leaking. Just pelvic rest and staying off feet as much as possible at work such as desk work. Big shot in the ass for baby's lungs. Yay! One tomorrow too. So docs are vigilant but not too concerned right now.

Thanks guys for all the support. Usually dh doesn't get to goo appts, well we choose wisely like full anatomy scans etc...the cool stuff. It was so wired bc today I was like oh it's just a routine cervix check you don't need to come. He said well I can just tag along today bc I don't need to be in early today I have time and BLAM! I'm so glad he was there bc I held it together when the mfm was talking to me and gonna send me to hospital but I lost it after that. Glad that for now everything is ok. Baby has some serious cooking to do though and quick.
