Re: 2nd tri symptoms post

  • For me, it's also been headaches and dizziness. I still have occasional gagging. Not much else otherwise.

  • My morning sickness is starting to ease up, thank god! Getting sick maybe once or twice a day now instead of everytime I breath, lol! I have my energy back, which my husband loves! Pretty sure he felt like a full time maid when he was home after work! I have been getting more frequent headaches now, my appetite is back, I too have joined the "I don't poop anymore" club, my boobs are HUGE! Def didn't think they could possibly get bigger but boy was I wrong! The biggest annoyance now is everyday I get the same pain in the same place, lower left back pain and it gets so severe! Not sure what that is. Also my belly feels full and clothes are getting snug, but still can't tell I'm pregnant, I'm bigger to begin with though. Hurray for almost being out of the first trimester!!!

@kkleigh10‌ and all others with the headaches. try magnesium spray or bath soaks for the headaches. A friend had them bad during second Tri. She saw a chiropractor AND started spraying magnesium each day. Cleared up in 2 days!!! Ancient minerals has flakes or spray. Check out wellnessmama.com for info on it, recipes for bath soaks, etc. I'd be curious to see if it helps anyone who tries it!
  • Still tired, and still nauseous if I get too hungry.
I swear I can smell anything from a mile a way! I also have been having headaches and nothing seems to help them. And I can't get comfortable when lying down for bed. Fun fun
  • I am so glad that everyone else is getting headaches. Misery does love company. I swear I've had a headache for 5 days. Morning sickness is subsiding a little except on days I work (maybe I just hate my job). And sleeping is odd. But HOLY BOOBS! DH loves that symptom. :)
  • Boobs still feel swollen (and are really red...did that happen to anyone else? Last Dr I saw said it might be a rash, but its still there and doesn't itch or hurt.  They are just red)

I have tons more energy now which is great, and not feeling MS anymore (mine was pretty light though) The only new thing I noticed is that my feet were swollen for a few days.  I think it was a combo of taking a flight and having TONS of bug bites from a camping trip.  I drank lots of water and made sure to elevate them and now they are back to normal.
  • I guess it's normal for my nipples to leak?!?. ....I'm 18w. FTM here so wasn't expecting that eek
  • @schnitz9‌ , I've had awful headaches this trimester. I pretty much have always had frequent headaches, but my go to was excedrin. Since getting pregnant, I started using Tension headache formula (it's just acetaminophen & caffeine). While it doesn't work as quickly as excedrin, it works way better than Tylenol alone.

  • I felt the first strong kick yesterday. I wasn't certain before if I had been feeling flutters or not, so I got my doppler out just to ease my mind. As soon as I put that wand on my belly and turned it on, baby kicked so hard it shook the wand. I couldn't believe it. No denying those flutters now!

I'm still exhausted, only get nauseous if I get hungry and don't eat protein. Finally started getting a teeny tiny bump this week. My hips are killing me! Not sure how I'm going to survive 3rd tri if it just gets worse from here.

  • I have hg so I'll probably be sick until I deliver like last time. It sucks. I just got more medication so I can actually walk around and do small chores without throwing up or gagging. So yay for medicine!

I can only drink water. I wish I could enjoy some coffee or juice or something with taste! Hopefully soon. No weird symptoms yet.

I haven't felt this baby move yet but saw him going crazy at our elective.

  • Sex is *so* painful. It's been painful since the BFP, but I feel more so in the second tri. It's weird because there are more juices going on down there & I'm definitely aroused...but it hurts. So much. I hope I'm not the only one going through this. I feel like a freak. Lol
  • Well now, I am still taking the Zofran, though today wad my last pill that I have if this batch. I'm going to do what another gal on here suggested and wait two days to see if I still have MS, or if its just bounce back and I only THINK I still have MS. We'll know for certain come Saturday if I still feel like a piece of roadkill or not.

As for other symptoms, still experiencing the "oh so overly tender" nips. Now I have also developed some late night insomnia. Heartburn is becoming more and more frequent. I get winded and tired more easily, like just from walking up a small flight of stairs, or doing housework. Hubby and I played mini golf the other day and I was exhausted just from bending over and picking up my ball 38 times! My back still aches down towards my hips every now and again. Its hard for me to get into a comfortable sitting or reclined position in my recliner (its actually hubbys recliner, but he's letting me use it because I'm pregnant). It's not easy for a man to give up his island of manly solitude for 9 months!

Past that, I have no real food aversions. I'm starting to have a bit more cravings here and there. My stomach is noticeably bigger, though I'm still steadily losing weight. Right now, the only drinks I find I want are water, fat free milk, and Fuze pink lemonade. Past that, my symptoms aren't too bad thus far.

@foxslaw‌ do all positions hurt? I know for me that when we are in a position where there's deep penetration, it's extremely uncomfortable/painful for me. But, if DH doesn't go in as far it feels great.

Me too. I feel like it should be saved for a FFFC but I tried and hated pregnant sex. It just got awkward because at some point I was feeling baby move even though DH wasn't.

Yep. Unfortunately they all hurt. I'm sure i have already crossed the TMI line but it's like my muscles have just sealed my vagina shut.

This is how first tri was for me. When we would try I would feel like needles were going into my skin. It was horrible. Thankfully now with some determination it's gotten a million times better. We just realized in order to make me comfortable we need to do quite a bit of foreplay. It slowly progressed from there when we started getting used to my new pregnancy body.

Thanks @AshleySparkle720‌. It's kind of made a dent in our sex life, but I suspect that's making the problem worse.

Edit: so I think that's probably what needs to happen

:) no problem. My best suggestion is to just be honest with him. Let him know if certain things are worse than others and that you may need some extra time to "warm up" before. I couldn't imagine he would have any reservations about increasing your sex life :)

MS is a bit better.  But still about 1-2 times a day.  Much better than 6-7 i guess.  Holy headaches now though.  Tylenol does not work.  Its like candy at the this point.  Anyone have any other preggo approved remedies? I've had a splitting headache for the past 4 days straight.  Sciatica is acting up again but eh I'm used to it.  Other than that I'm feel a bit more energetic.  Last week went back to pilates and going to pre-natal yoga this week.

I have not read anyone's posts yet.. so sorry if someone already rec'd coffee. Seriously half a cup of coffee and my headaches go away & they are brutal sometimes. I've also read to try tylenol & coffee together. Plus tons of water of course!
