5-6 weeks... Don't feel pregnant

I'm just going into my 6th week and have taken several HPTs, all quick positives, but I don't really feel pregnant. Other than I'm a bit more tired than usual. No morning sickness, my breasts aren't achy... Anyone else have similar experience? Pregnant without a ton of symptoms?

  • Yep, a lot of people experience little to no symptoms. Just consider yourself lucky. :) Plus, you could get more symptoms such as m/s at any moment. For some, it doesn't happen until later. There are gobs of symptom threads on this board, take a look at them for reassurance.

  • I feel you! Other than a little fatigue and some nausea when I'm hungry, I really don't feel very pregnant.

I still POAS just to be sure...
  • This is my third pregnancy and I haven't had any symptoms other then feeling tired. The first two pregnancies I was sick as a dog. I can't lie, I'm a little worried too. :(
  • I do the same thing and I am currently 5+2. I took another test yesterday. I've had only a few mild symptoms. I heard things starting kicking in around week 7.
  • I'm in the same boat! No symptoms yet for me, either, and with my first pregnancy by this time I was already dying from morning sickness. Just enjoy it while it lasts!

  • Lucky!!!! Enjoy. THAT!!! congrats !
  • Be careful what you wish for.
  • We just found out that I'm pregnant with triplets (on set of identical) and the only symptoms I have are my boobs and occasional nausea.

  • Same here, at 5w3d. I had gas, bloating and acne but those have subsided. My boobs are a little bigger, but my energy is the same and I have no nausea yet. The way i see it, there is no point in obsessing. Just eat healthily, get enough sleep, take your prenatal vitamins and hydrate! And trust in Mother Nature. :)
  • I don't yet either but I'm pretty confident it's coming. I am trying to eat more right now, exercise daily while I have the energy, and get as much cleaning done as possible.
  • Same here 5 wks 3 days and really not much . Not wishing to feel bad or anything but it is hard not to worry and it feels like symptoms would somehow treasure that baby is still there and developing.

  • The symptoms will come or they won't and you will be one of the lucky ones.

  • Okay, I swear this is the last time I'm going to chime in with my "twins but no symptoms" story.  I'm starting to turn into the grandpa on the Simpsons - who tells the same story over and over without realizing that everyone's heard enough.

In a nutshell... I had twins - TWICE the hcg - and I had no symptoms at all until well into the second trimester.  And that was just hunger and a bad mood.  I never had sore boobs or morning sickness. In fact, before the nurse called me to tell me by beta, I was so sure I wasn't pregnant I smoked a cigarette to calm myself down from being so disappointed.

    Tis true!

  • My first pregnancy was like that. When I got my first at 4w3d, I felt period-y: cramps, sore boobs, moody. After a few days, definitely by 5 weeks, everything was gone. Then came back triple fold at 7.5 weeks. My boobs were swollen, hot to the touch, and felt like someone had taken a baseball bat and a pitchfork to them, I was throwing up multiple times a day.

This time around, babe has made their presence known. I've been sick since last Monday without much a break.

  • I hit 7 weeks today and my only real symptom is very achy boobs that feel a lot bigger. I think I may be a little more tired than usual, but I also get up pretty early for work. I'm grateful that morning sickness hasn't hit me yet.

  • Hi! Just at 6 weeks and sore breast and all day nausea have just started before that no big symptoms.
  • I'm seriously the same way! I'm 5 1/2 weeks with basically no symptoms. I've taken a million pregnancy tests just to make sure the baby is still in there! Haha I know it's irrational but I just can't help worrying
  • I'm in the same boat! 5 weeks 4 days pregnant and am just a little more tired!

That's exactly how I feel! Is it still there? I took another last night, yep still pregnant lol

  • Feeling the same way. This is my third and I'm not experiencing many symptoms (which I'm so thankful). My heart goes out to all the mama's that aren't feeling the greatest but especially those that are chasing kiddos around while experiencing the "joys" of motherhood.

I am feeling the same 6w1d. First pregnancy and all I have is sore boobs (really bad) and occasional insomnia. I don't have my first appointment until Oct 2nd and I don't think I will fully think it's happening until it's confirmed there.
  • I'm 6+6 today. My m/s came late into my 5 wks and going strong since. Enjoy the no symptoms girl. Mine are allllllll day long. Zofran is a miracle. :) Dr says sickness is a good sign though. Good luck to you and congrats!

  • I'M IN SAME EXACT BOAT! I wasn't trying to get pregnant but I've taken many pregnancy tests all positive, but I don't feel pregnant! And I always have irregular periods, the only reason I took the test is I was supposed to have a regular DR appointment yesterday and was going to ask about regulating my period and I knew she was going to ask if I was pregnant, and boy was I surprised when it came back positive!
  • I do not feel preg either and this is my third so i know all it will take is a lil time, im 5 and 1 day so in a couple weeks i will be wishing for these days again, i do have the intense sence of smell everything is just toooooo smelly
  • I said the same when I was 6 weeks I am 8 wks now and I am sooooo tired can't believe it!and nausea in the morning but no sickness thank God..
  • Happens all the time! I have days when I almost forget, and other days when I cannot deny it! Enjoy feeling good :)

  • Same boat here. I know I am early on (4w) but the only symptom I have is being really crampy. I, too, have taken multiple pregnancy tests because I don't feel a thing! I have an ultrasound Oct 7, so I am hoping that helps make things more real for me!
  • Chiming in as others have said, not feeling much of anything now, same as last pregnancy. Yet here I am still worrying that it means something is wrong with baby. Irrational pregnancy brain! Last time symptoms kicked in full force by 8 weeks.

  • I am so glad I am not alone in feeling this way! Thanks ladies.
  • This is great to read! I too have not really had any symptoms (so thankful!)! I'm getting accupuncture weekly and I'm thinking it may be preventing symptoms-yay!!!
I'm 32, this is our first pregnancy/ 6w along and have the first ob apt Friday - super excited.
  • This is my feeling Exactly! I have that horrible feeling I'm going to loose this baby. And really I want nothing more than I want this baby!

I am with you. I just keep telling myself things happen for a reason and I try to pray as much as I can!
  • We all just need to breathe and bask in the glory of motherhood-to-be...ness lol I'm worried too about not really feeling it yet. Hasn't sunk in I think but this is my second child. My last was nine years ago and I'm almost 30! I just have to keep reminding myself not to stress too much. What will be will be!
  • I am 6 (almost 7 weeks) and have only had a bit of nausea, some food aversions (no more coffee :/ turns my stomach. As does Chinese food), and some sleepiness.
  • I had really tender breasts. Still do. But nothing else. I was exhausted from working 6 days a week, so sleeping and being tired was a given. I didn't start feeling queezy and nauseous until after I saw the HPT result was positive. I'm starting to think the whole symptoms thing is a placebo lol
