Favorite guilty pleasure name?

What's your favorite guilty pleasure name? Will you use it? I like Harlow, but I know it's bad.

    I love Esme and would consider using it if I have more kids.... I always loved Mariska but decided I am not European .... despite having Hungarian roots.... so best to leave it alone lol.

    @laurenm2123 Clementine reminds me of the character on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind :-)

    Hmmm. I can never think of these when asked.

    I love Johannes, but it is a real name and I'd totally use it if I could get H to agree.

    I also love Horst, and consider it a guilty pleasure because it really doesn't work well in English.

    Zelda. I can't use it because I love the game too much and it's not fair to push a fandom on a child like that*. Link as well, but also cause it's not really a name.

    *a lot of our name options come from various fandoms, but are not as strongly associated with said fandoms as Zelda is.

    Phoenix, Pixie, Atlas, Glory, Sara(h) - nothing wrong with the name per se but my husband has around six ex sara(h)s. Birdie. Dot. There are many more and i'll post them as they come to me.

    Clementine is the only one I could actually use though. The others don't work with our last name and family histories. And/or DH is not a fan.

    I used to be obsessed with the name Jocasta from Oedipus Rex. My mom still makes fun of me for that one. In high school I thought my future daughter would be Chloe Anne Jocasta.

    For a boy I love Greyson. when I suggested it to DH he told me he "thought I liked normal names".

    Thor, but using the correct pronunciation which is closer to Tore (I'm of Scandinavian descent). Both of my brothers are 6'2" with blond hair and blue eyes, so they could pull it off. But DH'S family is dark hair and 5'9" so we weren't willing to gamble. And the added annoyance of having to correct everyone on how to pronounce it. So it's our dog's name. :smile:

    I love Vada, Thea, and Carys. I don't think I would use any of them though, because other people would think they're a little weird.

    Aria - I LOVE the name but because of Game of Thrones it's so popular now. Clementine is on our list nn Lemon and Beatrice nn Bea. The last two we are considering using. Charlotte is such a guilty pleasure name for me. Wish it wasn't so popular.

    For a boy, I love River. We are rafters so I though DH would love it but he said that name makes him think of a long haired dirty hippy (which DH use to be!!) ha!! I have also always loved Jackson but would never use it - too trendy for my taste these days.

    DE attempt in Czech Republic!! 

    March trip to Prague canceled due to Pancreatitis. :sob:

    3 different donors resulted in 1 PGS tested embryo and 1 fresh embryo
    2 embryo's transferred (from 2 different donors) on 5/10/16
    BFP on 5/15/16 at 5dp5dt
    Beta 1 = 81 at 8dp5dt, Beta 2 = 295 at 10dp5dt, Beta 3 = 891 at 12dt5dt. Beta 4 = 2114 at 14dp5dt, Beta 5 = 4916 at 16dp5dt, Beta 6 = 13252 at 19dp5dt

    @klirwin82 I couldn't think of any boys names before but Seamus is totally a GP of mine! I love the nn Shea... DH vetoed that while we were still dating though :neutral:

    I got a perfect guilty pleasure name. I always thought Jereth was an awesome name. It's also the name of the Goblin King on Labyrinth so.....

    @gonetothesea Tiberius is a badass name.

    I like Jocasta too. I never thought much of it in Oedipus Rex but rediscovered it in the novel Cloud Atlas and for some reason fell in love with it then. Not sure why, Jocasta was such a distasteful character in that book.

    Pearl, Vera, Ramona and Elyse were all nixed by DH for our LO... (Got Ramona as the middle name though!)

    I actually love Clementine, nn Lemon. Sunny is so good, but my sister beat me to it a couple years ago. Juniper and Olive are both on our list. I like your style!

    My entire name list is made up of my guilty pleasures. I figure - why not? There are a few that I love that my husband won't even consider. These are all girls names because after two sons, I can only think of girl names. 

    Juniper, Olive, Primrose and Magnolia are GP names we're actually considering. 

    Clementine, Lavender, Poppy, Posy and Mabel are my other GP names my husband nixed.

    @holocene we are naming our daughter Olive. I'm not sure I would have selected it if it hadn't been my great grandmother's name. But I'm so glad we did because it's a fun name for a baby. We call her Olive Doll, the Olive Ball, my uterus is The Olive Garden.. you get the idea. We're having a blast with it.
