4) How are you feeling?
Over the last few days, the MS has gone down and my energy & motivation levels have gone up. I'm feeling quite happy.
5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
I was expecting my Verifi results this week but the OB's online system wasn't showing it. I called and the front desk said they had it but couldn't disclose it and that a nurse would have to call back. The nurse said, "everything looks good." But when I asked for the gender she said they'd have it in a few days. So, now I'm not sure which results she was looking at since I had two tests sent to the same lab. In any case, there's nothing worrisome, so I'll just wait till the she calls back.

I don't remember that far back, however, I sing Hush Little Baby to my daughter every night since she was born. We have also thrown Rock-a-Bye Baby into the mix lately, but we use different words. I'll just say that it's called Rock-a-bye poo poo in my house...hehe. The kid loves potty humor, what can I say!!

5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Next appointment isn't until 10/23, which is my anatomy scan @ 19wks. My OB told me to cancel my genetic counseling appt since I've already had Mat21 test and everything is fine.
I finally announced my pregnancy on Facebook (mostly high school/college friends, business associates and some extended family who didn't know) and got great reception. Not one person said anything about being too old!
QOTW: Which lullabies/nursery rhymes are your favorite from childhood? Which ones didn't quite work out?
Hmm... I had to change this, recently I recalled a memory about singing the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" with my brother (who is ~4 years younger than me), I'm guessing we learned it from either our parents or grandparents! I love "You Are My Sunshine" and have already been practicing singing that one out loud
.. I'd like to learn some more though!

3) Any other children? Furbabies? 26yo stepson, 2 boxers and a cat
4) How are you feeling? Feeling pretty good - only symptom still is large, sore boobs and exhaustion.
5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Met with the genetic counselor this week and did the blood draw for the Verifi test, so awaiting those results. Very anxious about the results as the baby we lost tested positive for Trisomy13. Have NT screening in 2 weeks so that is an ultrasound in the middle of the 5 week gap which will make me feel so much better to know the baby is still doing good. The EDD of our angel baby is Monday so that is hitting me much harder than I expected it to. Rants - not really just in an all around shitty/depressed/emotional mood today and missing my mom and my husband terribly.
QOTW: Which lullabies/nursery rhymes are your favorite from childhood? Which ones didn't quite work out? I always loved the itsy bitsy spider and humpty dumpty

Nope!
4) How are you feeling?
OK - still throwing up a little a few times a week - this better go away once the baby arrives! Other than that not too shabby. As I guess is to be expected I am starting to have a harder time sleeping/being comfortable - but I think that is part of the whole pregnancy package.
5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Going back on Weds (17th) for follow-up a/s... our little one wouldn't cooperate so they couldn't quite get all the measurements. I finally am starting to tell more people - sent an email to 12 or so b-school friends to let them know (we are keeping the news off FB). Next weekend we have a family wedding - so I think I will be surprising some people there (pretty sure 2 of my cousins don't know since they haven't called/e-mailed... but their parents know since I told them)

QOTW: Which lullabies/nursery rhymes are your favorite from childhood? Which ones didn't quite work out? I would always sing Bye Oh My Baby to the girls when rocking. I had a whole mixed set of songs that I compiled together into one. I bet I could still remember it if I thought long enough.
@boxermamax2 sending big hug hugs to you

QOYW: Hmm not sure. My parents came over from Yugoslavia when my mom was 6 months PG with me and I'm sure the songs were all sung in Serbian.
Three Blind Mice is strange! I love the All the Pretty Horses lullaby. I can't wait to play that for baby!! I did all the basic ones like Wheels on The Bus, This Old Man, Itsty Bitsy etc when I nannied.
ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)
DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!
2) I'll be 36 at delivery, if all goes well.
3) This is my first pregnancy. Would love a dog but husband thinks it would be unfair to the dog in our current apartment and with the amount of travel we both do, which is all probably true...
4) Feeling great, for the most part. On occasion, I forget I'm pregnant for a minute. Then the mild cramps remind me or I walk by a mirror and see the giant acne.
5) My first OB appointment is on October 3, when I'll be just a day short of eight weeks. I'm still trying to psychologically adjust to the idea that I am pregnant. I don't feel ready to tell anyone yet, and although my husband is very supportive this has also caused him to worry about the future and he doesn't initiate a lot of conversation about it, although he doesn't avoid it either. In sum, I feel a little bit on my own at the moment.
QOTW: My mother sang me opera, despite not having an amazing voice. I still loved it.
2) Age at delivery? (optional) 41
3) Any other children? Furbabies? DS is 2. 2 dogs and 2 cats.
4) How are you feeling? Not too bad actually. Sunday was a bad MS day, but yesterday and today have been okay. I am wearing my seabands religiously until I go to bed at night. They seem to be helping. I have just been keeping busy and trying to keep my mind off of it and drinking lots of water.
5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Next appointment is October 2nd. Received the prenatal lab blood work and urinalysis results in the mail yesterday. Everything is normal. Yay! Waiting for the call to set up all my old pregnant lady tests (NT scan/blood work and additional tests...if we choose to do them). My numbers went from 1/36 chance of Downs to a 1/4300 chance (and that was the smallest jump) after the last NT scan and blood work with DS that we opted out of all other tests. He was fine.

October 13- 36w1d
2) Age at delivery? (optional)
36
3) Any other children? Furbabies?
DS- almost 3, furbaby puggle- 5 1/2 mo
4) How are you feeling?
Overall, very good. I'm pretty tired, but that is normal at this stage.
5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
I had an appointment yesterday- everything looked great, got my flu and TDAP shots, and had my strep b test done. I will be going every week until I deliver now.
I have been searching for a new contract or job and yesterday I was offered an amazing opportunity. It doesn't have a start date attached so there still is some uncertainty, but hopefully, they will need me in late November or early December when I'm ready to get back to work FT. I also have a decent amount of contract set up as of yesterday/today so I should be busier than I've been from now until later in the fall. I am feeling quite thankful that things are finally coming together after several months of searching!
QOTW: Which lullabies/nursery rhymes are your favorite from childhood? Which ones didn't quite work out? My mom was really into nursery rhymes so we knew all of them and I can't say I had a favorite. I have not really used lullabies or nursery rhymes with our son- we read books. My favorites when he was little (and I got to choose) were the Hungry Caterpillar and Duck for President.
2) Age at delivery? (optional) 43! I too feel 25!
3) Any other children? Furbabies? Just a handsome Golden Retriever, Hunter, who I have promised I will always love best (sssshhh, don't tell anyone!)
4) How are you feeling? Great! New running bras help my sore boobs when running with Hunter! Little bloating but manageable. Just keep drinking water. I just received my button expanders in the mail, but don't need them yet! :-)
5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Received Maternity21 test results back a few weeks ago, all healthy and baby girl!
