For those who have bought a home fetal doppler, how early were you able to hear your baby's heartbeat? Just curious. My mom said she had one I could use, but at 7W4D I think that'd be too early to hear.

With DD, 11w6d I was able to finally find her. I have PCOS and the typical "B"-belly (I have a spare tire, lol) so I have a lot of fat to get through. Plus, being a FTM, I had no idea what I was looking for.
This time around, 8w6d I was able to hear the heartbeat. I'm also 30lb lighter (still have a spare tire, though!) and just experienced this time around, I guess!
Look very low in your pelvic area for now. Move the wand slowly, because this early, you can certainly miss it easily!

I have the sonoline B as well. I haven't tried using it. I'm barely 10 weeks so I'll probably try next week but I got mine for $30 off this app called offerup where people can buy & sell things. BARGAIN!
My mom bought us the sonoline c. On setting 2 at 10 weeks (last week) we found it. She bought it for our peace of mind but it is really cool to be able to share that experience with them, my grandparents heard their very first baby heartbeat yesterday, the video of their reactions is priceless. You just can't replace that. (Grandpa decided it sounds like a dishwasher.) it's nice to allow the other people around you start to have a connection.
Where do you look exactly to find the heart beat? I have tried all in the lower abdominal area, both sides. I keep finding mine and I'm 11w3d. Thank you for the help.

I find it low and really far to the right. I first found it at 9w2d.
Mine at 11+3 is about two inches below my belly button. Pretty center. A little to one side or the other. Anyway this video is what helped us and she explained what all the different sounds you'll hear are. https://youtu.be/WnYHyjn4Sg0
9 weeks when I got mine...it took a while to find it the first time...had to move very slowly and it's like LO was hiding beside my femoral pulse the two were meshing at first then tried angling it different ways and was able to isolate. It's easier now because LO is always towards my left side and about 2 inches above my pubic bone.
Just got my Doppler in the mail today! Found that sweet little heartbeat pretty quickly! (I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow) And still a week to go before we officially hear the heartbeat via the drs office. I guess I'll be able to help the doctor find it It certainly feels a lot more real once you hear that sound
I am 10 weeks + 1 day and I cannot find it. Is that normal? I'm starting to get freaked out.
I found mine just above the pubic hair line and a little to the left. (I am 10 weeks 6 days) If you can find the sound of the placenta (kind of a swishing slow pulse sound) then your baby should be super close to that. I found my placenta and then just tipped the probe slightly. Use super small movements and angles. It takes patience sometimes so don't freak yourself out!!
I found mine last night at 10w6d. My dr couldnt find it at my last appt though when I was 10w1d so dont worry! Thanks for the video @cwiceangel, it really helped me. My LO does not seem to like the doppler though, I found the hb twice and baby immediately swam away!
after reading this, I think I'm going to order one! I'm having an extremely hard time with suddenly not feeling pregnant anymore (no symptoms(....it'll be nice when I need reassurance to listen to little nugget. And DH will be able to hear, too!
I have the Sonoline B and just tried it out for fun at 8w3d - I randomly found the HB for like 10 seconds then couldn't find it again. I've tried a few times since but no luck. I thought for sure I wouldn't find anything until 10+ weeks so at least I heard something once! I'm not the type to panic if I don't hear it, but if you think you might be then I would wait until 10-12 weeks to be safer.

I ordered mine today, two day shipping! I am so worried that I won't be able to find the heartbeat and will panic or fret until my next appointment. Any tips on how to do this without feeling like a total psychopath? I can't imagine my doctor would be thrilled to suddenly get frantic calls because a FTM with no experience can't find a heartbeat on their home monitor.
Took forever, but found it today with my Sonoline B. I am 10w6d. Told I had a tilted uterus so I wasn't sure if I could get it, but it was the best sound ever!!
This is my Sonoline B! Got it last night and I'm 10+4. I have used mine about 4 times already. I'm a peds nurse so I'm used to counting fast pulses and it was still a little tough figuring out which was what. Once your hear the right sound/pulse though you will never forget and you will know immediately in future tries when you get baby(ies). YouTube videos are great at helping distinguish what is what.

With DS I didn't get the Doppler until a little later into the pregnancy. With this pregnancy I first found it at 8 weeks 1 day.

@cwiceangel The video helped so much. I found baby immediately with a heart beat of 166.
