I put my baby in danger

Re: I put my baby in danger

  • I got some groceries (even bought ... COFFEEEE!) and scrubbed my nasty kitchen floor! I sure hope my kid is okay in there (; although , judging by his Beckham kicks to my bladder ... I think he's doing fine ... :/ haha .
  • Loading the player...
  • I did three loads of laundry and it was especially hard because our dryer is broken and I had to hang things to dry!!

  • @bvsbabymomma‌ what are Chocolate jimmies?

  • Oh you guys are so productive.  I went to a football game yesterday.  Drove back for 3 hours today (well, slept in the car while DH drove back) then have been sitting my lazy bum on the couch watching football for the rest of the day.  There may have been oreos and ice cream involved.

And... uhoh... I was laying on my back for a little while.  gasp.

I'm not she, however.... sprinkles might be what you call them (rainbow or chocolate). They're the sugary candy topping that go on ice cream.

I know of sprinkles but have never heard them called jimmies.

I grew up in the Midwest and they were sprinkles. Like @BankerBSN‌, I have never heard them called jimmies either.

    Edit I hate autocorrect

Maybe it's a southern thing? My mom calls them jimmies.

I'm in the south now and still no jimmies! Maybe I've just picked places to live that call them sprinkles.

It's either an east coast or Midwest thing. I grew up on the east coast but got a lot of my phrases/words/dialect from my mom who grew up in the Midwest.
East coast, maybe?  I'm from the midwest and had never heard of jimmies until this board...

  • It's an east coast thing.  My cousins on the east coast refer to them as jimmies.

We have a verdict. Thank goodness. I'd begun to question my entire Midwestern linguistic foundation...

Also, I work with a Jimmy and this really makes me want to call him Sprinkles at some point. I'm thinking this would not go over well.

Born and raised in Central Jersey...it's a south jersey thing. No self-respecting northern or central jerseyan would say jimmies.

  • Here in northern Maine they are sprinkles, or nonpareils, if you are in the St John valley. I've heard them called jimmies in southern Maine, but mostly by flatlanders ;)

Here in NY (suburbs of NYC) they're sprinkles. But we're non-conformists.
It's expected that the suburbs of NYC have their own rules. ;)
