The ones in my bedroom maybe once a year. In the living room I wash them more often because they get dusty more often. All my curtains are black, so it's pretty obvious when they get dusty on top.

Not often enough... maybe once every other year? DON'T JUDGE ME.
I once read a thread about washing walls and how often that happened in others' homes. I was like "People wash walls...?"
I'm a disaster at home care.
EDIT: Our house is clean! I just don't think of these little things like wall washing or curtain laundering. We do have white curtains on everything, though, so it's easier to see when it needs some TLC.
I will wash my baseboards, but WALLS?!?
I wash our walls with a wet washcloth smashed on a swiffer thing. It works really well and is super fast/simple.

How often do you all clean your light switches? I do this weekly. I also clean my walls because my dogs sleep against certain ones and leave oils behind.
oh my, I have not washed mine since I got them a year ago. I hate ironing so I avoid it like the plague. I do wipe everything down with Lysol wipes when someone has a cold or the flu and I wipe the blinds down. I think I will wash them next week when we get back in town. Or the week after when I have more time.

I have no curtains because I'm lazy and my husband hates them. I never thought about washing them until my coworker mentioned doing hers last year. I felt terrible about my cleaning abilities when I questioned her about it.
I do not wash my (window) curtains. Did not know that was a thing.
The other thing I got from the parenting thread was that people wash their sheets weekly? I definitely don't do it that often.
Am I gross??
If you're gross, then I am too. I aim to wash my sheets once a month. No comment on my success rate. I am terrible at keeping things clean. Who has time for all the cleaning we should be doing?
Also, I don't have any curtains, but I know if I did, they would never ever be washed.
I get this.....uncontrollable urge....about every 6 months where everything that fits must go in the washer. I wash curtains, rugs, dust ruffles, couch cushion covers etc. If it is cloth/fabric and it can fit it in the washer it washes. DH hates it.
I am crazy obsessive about cleaning. It's my shtick. I wash baseboards and walls monthly. Wash all linens including curtains at least once a month. Light fixtures, pictures, ceiling, stove, and blinds are biweekly. Everything else is daily. I can't relax until my routine is done.
TTGP since September 2013. All cycles were annovulatory due to Depo.

My mind went into the gutter and now I think of the other kind of curtains with all these posts.
You all are going to kill me.

I wash those curtains everyday.
@GhostMonkey
I believe that would be the carpet you mean, not the curtains. If you are referring to the saying "does the carpet match the drapes?"
Drapes/curtains=hair
Carpet=pubic hair.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Curtain washing time frames> hating ironing> washing sheets> fucking meat curtains. Fuck. The images in my head are soo gross.
Summing this up: wash the dusty, wrinkly, meat curtains on the regular.
