Kennedy for a girl. Would never actually do it, but I secretly love it. Plus, I have a male cousin with the same name.
I don't know if it counts as a GP, but Molly is a favorite that I couldn't use because it's my parents' dog's name. I seriously considered it for about half a second.
Last would be Everly. A friend of mine named her daughter Everly years before Channing Tatum used it, and I always loved it. Hate that it's trendy now.
I'm trying to figure out why ya'll wouldn't use Loren. for a boy. other than i wouldn't because I know so many. but it's so obviously boy imo that I'm not sure why you have to clarify lol i shudder when i see that spelling on a girl. when i see it spelled Lauren and pronounced the same way I am also somewhat disturbed because I am used to it being said Laur-en'
and I'd probably get flamed if I posted some of my GP names. beside those about half the names I like are too trendy for my use
I love it. I hate that I love it. So glad that my dog doesn't know the difference.

I don't have a lot of real GP names. I love a lot of names that I wouldn't use for various reasons, but they're great names so not technically considered guilty pleasures.
Story and River OTOH. They're really not great names lol.
Omg! I thought I was the only person who liked Story! Maybe for a dog....Haha.
I also love Summer. My friends hate it.
Started adoption process in Jan. 2011.
3 failed matches in 2012.
Surprise pregnancy in Aug. 2012. Precious baby boy "HC" born May 2013.
Began researching EA in 2014.
No longer pursuing EA due to fibroid complications.
So funny I love Loren too! But don't think I could ever use it. I agree Winter is one of my GP names. I thought about trying to use it as a middle name, but then I feel like its too hippyish for my husband. Also Juniper is another GP name, hubby actually agreed to using as a middle name but doubt we will. I love nature, hippy names.
I love Winter, Autumn, Tuesday , most months....like November and January also. Dash, Fitzgerald, Carmichael .......when I see this list, I can't believe it is me. I have five kids with normal , awesome names
Oh, so so many . We do threads like this every now & then. It's always fun. Some of these names I would actually use, but there's NO WAY DH would let me, so I included them on the list.
For a girl: Coraline. We probably would have used it if ds had been a girl!
For a boy: Alvis. We may actually use this in the future, I know people may think they hear Elvis so that thought makes me hesitant but I love it and may use it anyway, given the opportunity.
I love Arabella for a girl, but our last name is long and DH thinks it would be too mic. He also said that he would think of Kristen Stewart and Twilight every time he heard it.

Thank you for knowing how to pronounce my name the correct way. I hate being called "Lor-en."
@HisGirlFriday929 Gioia is a name, it's pronounced the way you describe. It's Italian and means joy (I know, what a surprise ). So get it off your guilty pleasure list!
Samwise... because of the Lord of the Rings character. My husband's is Shreoake, which is a girl name he made up.
We're only planning on having two children, but we have a deal that if there is a third by accident or design, they're getting one of those names in the middle name spot.
When I was younger, I fell in love with the name "D'Artagnan" from the three musketeers movie. Thought it was the most manly, amazing name in the world. I always said I'd name my son that someday. It didn't end up going with my married last name at all, otherwise I might have actually considered it.
I watched a lot of Mr. Rogers when I was younger. The show had a cast member named Betty Aberlin, Lady Aberlin in the make-believe world, and little me misheard the name as Abrilyn. I always thought it was pretty and would make a great name for my first daughter, LOL.
Yes, I know it's not a real name. Yes, I know it's misspelled. No, I would never actually use Abrilyn as a name option. But I still think it's pretty and GP the crap out of it.
Boy- I am obsessed with the name Diego. And we are not a drop Spanish or Latin - we have a very English last name. My H just side-eyes me every time I mention it
Girl - Laci (yes, with an "i", hides...) or Bayleigh Blayze.
I also always thought I wanted twins and picked these unisex names (really boy) Blaine Dillon and Blake Jordan.
We are giving our son normal, English names. But I think I might start calling him Diego in utero.
Re: Confession Time- What's your GP name?
I've also confessed that I really like the name Paisley for a girl. I think it's really sweet.
I also like Campbell (for a boy or girl) and Fletcher for a boy.

I love these posts! We haven't done one in a long while.
Boys:
Donovan (DH hates because of Donovan McNabb)
Sverre (but we have no Norwegian ancestry, so it would be so dumb)
Odin (DH and BNB think this is too big/mythological)
Lionel (I adore this name for some bizarre reason, but it would be awful with our LN)
Campbell (family name I would love to use)
Girls:
Arabella (trivia fact: that was the Kennedys' first baby)
Campbell (see above)
Irene (my BFF's name)
Kendall (would go poorly with our LN)
I know a little girl named Kennedy... and I went to highschool with a Loren (male)!!
@brownmouse that's so adorable! I think Fox Mulder...
Luisa
Brigite
Marta (I actually got this one on the list for awhile)
Friedrich
ETA the only reason we vetoed Marta is that people would have softened the t and pronounced it "Marda" which would have been unacceptable.
I love it. I hate that I love it. So glad that my dog doesn't know the difference.

Love Grey for a boy or girl.
