  You can set it so people can only see what you want them to. Mine is set so ONLY friends can see my posts and pictures, nobody can search for me by name/email/phone number, only friends can message me and only friends of friends can add me as a friend. Locked down and top secret haha

  They can see my name and profile picture and thats it.

  One of my aunts is BSC to the level of being a stalker, so my mom made a FB account with an alias so she can't make contact.

  I have friend that has only her nickname listed. Her H has a crazy stalker ex and they both set their profiles to private, only friends, don't use their photos as their profile pic and don't use names she would know of.

  But if she is trying to connect with others as a support group this may not be the best approach; good for creeping not for support.
  
  I don't necessarily disagree but you don't need to know someone's name to connect with them. Case in point is this board, even though I've shared my first name I doubt most remember it, and I only know the first name of maybe 10 of the ladies here.
