? for those w/ summer infant video monitor.

All of a sudden everything makes crazy feedback on the handheld monitor. It is to the point now where I can't even put the monitor on my nightstand as everything surrounding it has to be like 2 feet away from it. And, even just me flipping over in bed makes feedback. Anyone else have this problem?

  • Yes, we have always gotten a lot of feedback on that damn thing.  Have you tried not using the stand on the back?  I just balance it without the stand and it seems to work better.

  • I get something similar when I plug it in and the cord moves about- causing the static noise but it doesnt continue.  We do get a lot of feedback when cell phones are close by it though.  They have good customer service- you could try calling and asking them if they can give you any tips.

yeah - i have always had issues w/ some feedback - especially from our cell phones or electronics. I don't use the stand either so that option doesn't help me. Last night I was reading in bed and turned my head opposite of nightstand to face my H and it started giving feedback. I would turn back the other way and it would stop. It's just insane how bad it has gotten the last couple of weeks. I might try and call them.

  • Oh noes. I have to say the only issue we're having with it now is that we have to press the button harder/longer to turn on or off. But we've never had feedback issues...

I've definitely gotten the feedback that goes away when you move your body position. Plus if the cat walks by there's feedback, but it's pretty infrequent. I always wonder if it has to do with static electricity.  I would call their costumer service and see what they say if it's happening all the time.
