I grew up in a very touristy/celeb filled vacation spot. A few that stand out:
Hid in the bushes and watched a private party where Danny Devito, Sharon Stone and Brad Pitt were guests. We got escorted away by security lol.
Michael J Fox numerous times-sweet man and a lovely family
The Clinton's- super friendly and approachable
I participated in extreme home makeover a few years ago. Entire cast were a bunch of A-Holes.
Carly Simon drove me to school when I missed the bus once.
I partied on a yacht with a bunch of Patriots players when I was in high school. Lied about my age, but not sure anyone cared.
The only time I was truly star struck was when I met Princess Diana. I was covered head to toe with poison ivy and she was standing behind me in the pharmacy. I literally backed into her and she said "oh my, you poor thing". I was too shocked to respond.
Meg Ryan, Reese Witherspoon and Various authors frequent the summer fair.
ETA- Grace Potter. How could I forget. She just oozes sex appeal and I fell in love with her.

Oh yeah, and Nancy Grace. Ran into her while I was buying my wedding invitations and she asked my opinion on some baby announcement she was doing for a friend. She was in sweats and no makeup. She's scary with no makeup.

Not gonna lie, I just googled "Nancy Grace no makeup".
Justin Timberlake- Very nice, extremely small, doesn't look the same in person. Lil Wayne- Nice and flirtatious Emily Giffin- Nice and gave me great wedding advice on my IG.
Stood backstage with Keith Urban for a Tim McGraw concert. Keith is great, super nice. And Tim smells AMAZING but is kinda full of himself.
Bunch of GB players, but Leroy Butler (inventor of the Lambeau Leap) was my fave. Super nice guy.
Mike Rowe is hands down my fave celeb. Real person with a real mission and real time for "the little guy". If you're not following him on fb, you should.
Friend grabbed Flo-Rida's ass at his Rock & Roll marathon concert in St. Pete a few yrs back. Too funny!
Lived in Nashville for awhile so saw people all the time; grocery stores, restaurants, dog park.... but it's standard practice that you don't make a fuss of it. Made me pretty immune to being star struck.
I can't recall actually meeting a celebrity. My husband and I were shopping at the forum shops in Caesars palace in Vegas and passed right by Floyd may weather and 50 cent who had a ridiculous entourage of body guards with them. They were both very tiny in person.
Shook hands with Bill Clinton in 6th grade. Met Derek Jeter(he's from my hometown) he's very nice. Most recently I got to meet Jason Robert Brown (any musical geeks in the house?) Brilliant pianist, wrote the music to Parade, Last 5 years and Songs for a new world. He was a little aloof but polite.
I use to work in a high end store pre kids. I've met 1 Samuel L Jackson (sooo nice) 2. Jenny Garf (mmmm ok) 3. Tori Spelling (lovely very friendly) 4. Kylie Minouge (tiny super short) 5. Lenny Henry (English people will know this guy. Very nice so friendly) 6. Princess Micheal of Kent (so down to earth)
I met Too Short at the mall when I was 16, then again when I was 28 when he did a concert at a local comedy club with Ritchie Rich. I hung out with them in VIP (and a bunch of other people) until it got freaky and I decided to excuse myself. There were some females there that were definitely there for one reason.
For any baseball fans I met Tony LaRussa (previous STL Cardinals coach) Skip Schumaker (baseball) && some other Cardinals players. Went to high school with a pitcher for the Marlins && we both were the main pitchers / highlited athletes of that year

I met NSync back in 1999. My friends mom worked for a local TV station and got us meet and greet passes. JT was just as hot, if not hotter, in person, and I was so obsessed with him, that I failed to get Chris's autograph. I mean, Chris was like 30 and I was 13...
I totally forgot that I met JC Chasez when I was in high school. He came to my church on Christmas eve and was wearing red snakeskin pants. Funny story--it was a Methodist church--I later saw JC say in an interview that he couldn't remember what religion he was, but then finally came up with "Mennonite." Guess again, batman. I don't think he's especially bright.
I have to say I have not met many celebrities...Cleveland isn't really a destination for them. Lol I did meet Joe & Tommy from Swamp People. They were awesome & took time to talk hunting with my husband and I. I also met the band Outshyne but they're not very big yet. That's about it. One person I really would love to meet one day is Jimmy Buffett-and have a margarita on the beach with him. He reminds me of my late uncle. Miss him.
@b&e888 You've met like all of my imaginary celebrity best friends.
Norman Reedus- I had had a crush on him since Boondock Saints and randomly ran into him at a party. He actually made a pass at me (probably because he was hammered) but I was engaged to my now husband. I was texting my husband the entire time who was having a full-blown panic attack.
Mandy Moore- Who was super sweet and signed my horrible fan art when I was 13
Michael Cera- Who dresses like an old man in the 1970s, exactly what you'd expect
Keanu Reeves- Who was sitting alone at a cafe, looking sad.
Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys- A complete and utter tool.
Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear- Super shy and very sweet, likes tequila
Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe- Smells like sweat and magic witch dust
But my husband has way better ones than me, and somehow meets nearly everyone on my celebrity crush list when I'm not around including Ryan Gosling, Michael Fassbender, Colin Farrell, Adrian Grenier… like, wut. How. why.
Worked on set hair and makeup for total divas- so the Bella twins Eva Marie arianne and trinity! All super nice! Suzanne summers - bitch! Big papi- nicest man around! My BIL plays pro hockey so DH & him have a nhl friends who are the nicest guys! Michelle phifer (no idea on spelling) nice acted so humble!
Edit: hate my MIL! They go out every night for TIFF each year and they have met the Wayne's brothers , Bradley cooper, john travolta, bill Murray & so many others it's unreal! I can't even think of the 1 actor who I love! So so jealous - esp. Bradley cooper!
No one very interesting. But I did sit in front of Mountain Man from Duck Dynasty on a flight. I didn't know who he was but he stood with the beard and camo, I joked to my hubby that I thought he could be mistaken for cast member. Turns out he was. He was very nice but just kept on talking and talking, it was 5:50am and I really just wanted to sleep.
I met rob Schneider from all of Adams sanders movies and snl. He was very nice and tried to give me lots of parenting advice right after I had my son and tried to get me not to vaccinate.
I me Joey fatone from nsync. Totally a flirt but cute in person.
Alexander ovechkin, one of the most amazing hockey players. We were both playing with iPads at the apple store at Tyson's corner.
My only celebrity run-in just highlights my socially awkward behavior:
We were at the airport in DC walking towards our gate, when I about ran into Jared Padalecki and his family. I immediately got red-faced and stared and I could see the look on his face of "Oh, shit...a fangirl..." I am sure I was starry-eyed. I was too awestruck to say anything and they just went around me.
That was about the time I regained my senses and started babbling to DH about seeing Sam from Supernatural. I don't regret not asking for an autograph bc he was with his wife and 2 small kids. I would have felt like a douche to be THAT person, but I still wish I had said SOMETHING.
Omg I love him. He's so cute with his puppy dog eyes.
I met Nick Anderson. He played basketball for the Orlando Magic. He used to come into the restaurant I worked at a lot. He's pretty nice. One of the waiters was obsessed with him. One day he went back out to his car and brought in a polo shirt for the kid and signed it. Thought it was pretty sweet of him.
And my ex uncle was a pitcher for the Astros. Total asshole. So glad he's out of my life.
And jealous of a couple friends. They got to dance with Bill Nye. (Swing dancing, that would have totally made my hobby perfect.)
I dated Tracy McGrady's brother in high school. Eh. Not much to share. Weird family. Also, in high school I use to have lunch monthly with Arnold Palmer (Rotary Club); however I didn't know he played golf. I thought he was just a really sweet old man who became famous for his tea/ lemonade preferences. It wasn't until college that I was watching a commercial on TV and became elated that the old man found employment and was keeping busy in retirement. My roommate and freshmen hall thought I was insane and explained his celebrity status to me. Last but not least, I lived and worked in a China for a year and would frequent the Ritz whenever I wanted an American lunch or an opportunity to speak English for a few hours. Well I was waiting in the lobby to exit and noticed a bunch of cameras and security blocked the exit for an hour. I started complaining in Chinese to a sweet couple how I find celebs and entourages so damn annoying. It turns out I was talking to Yao Ming's parents for 20 min. They introduced me to their son and I took a picture with some members of his basketball team- Houston Rockets. I was incredibly embarrassed about my complaining. But I heard a bunch of stories about Yao as a baby/ kid. Kinda funny looking back
@cwiceangel - can I ask who your ex-uncle was? I grew up a huge Astros fan, and now I'm curious!! But I understand if you don't want to for privacy reasons.
Re: GTKY: celebrities

Christopher Knight-funny
Money B-had an absolute blast
