Sorry so late today, ladies!  I was tied up at work.

This is the thread where we neurotic PGaL ladies share the positive things that have been going on over the past week or so in our personal, professional, or family lives.  We all have so much to worry about, so let's focus on the positive for a day.

Chat away!

    My positivity of the week...

I get to see MH's extended family this weekend - they are in town from the opposite coast for BIL's wedding.  Particularly excited to see his grandparents who we have not seen since before our BFP.

Also, so excited for BIL and his lovely fiance starting a happy life together.  And getting dolled up for the wedding doesn't hurt.
    :D

Also, ILs are picking up our crib today!  So excited to have something in the LO's room.

  • I was literally just thinking about this - wondering if I'd somehow missed it.  Thanks for posting @torigirl2014!!  Yay for a wedding and seeing family!

DH can now feel baby boy move regularly.  Super excited to let the boys feel - they're going to love it!

Planning on going into Target this Saturday to start (and hopefully finish) our registry - mostly just a list for us, but I like to have things organized, and if someone wants to buy something, they'll have an idea of what we need.

DH is doing really well at his new job, although there isn't going to be quite as much work as we originally anticipated.  But, he'll still be able to work fewer hours to get paid the same as/more than he was making at his last job.
Lots of productive and good things going on!  Congrats to DH on the successful transition.

You will feel SO, SO good after getting that registry worked out.  To me it felt like the Mt. Everest of pre-baby planning.

  • I went to my first MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) meeting today and had such a great time. I met a great group of women and think I could make some real friends there. Sometimes being a stay at home mom can be lonely and give me way too much time to think PgAL thoughts. So it was great to get out and be distracted.

  • I'm so greatful that I have an amazing hubby to take care of me when I'm sick!  I love him so much and he takes such good care of me :)

Also, my crib is up and it makes me so happy to go into Olivia's room and see it coming together :)
Love the positive H stories.  But, sorry you've been sick. :(

  • @mpiemont - glad to hear you're branching out and meeting new mommy friends.  I should really start tracking down a few of those IRL.

@momtobe85 - I know it sounds corny but I like all the cute stories about the loved ones being awesome with our special brand of anxiety/overanalysis.  :)  I find myself in the same position knowing that the things I am saying are illogical but MH always gives me that room to vent.  That's when you know you've got a keeper!

  • I ordered a whole bunch of maternity clothes and a rug for the nursery this week - so excited for packages!

DH commented (in front of my sister and nephew) "Wow, it's like your belly grew three sizes overnight" - we all had a good laugh because he would not have gotten away with that at any other time and it made me feel good that I wasn't the only one noticing it LOL

I managed to get my to-do list in order at work so now I feel like I have a plan of attack for all that needs to get done.

  • I found out this week that I am getting a 4% raise because they feel like I go above and beyond with my clients. Most people are getting 2%.

Also, my mom is getting us a new dish washer which makes me and my hands extremely happy!
