Ghost monkey why are you even on this board you aren't in your 1st trimester. All you do is bully women on this site. I've seen multiple post on different threads of you attacking and making rude comments. And really grown up of you to private message me cussing me out. I can see you have no life. And believe me I have and will report any further harassment from you to the bump. So grow up and play nicely.

If everyone is just supposed to Google everything, WTF is the point of this forum? Is there a rule in the Terms of Use: Thou shalt not ask any question that can be answered through Google or else risk being subjected to ridicule.

TOU have nothing to do with using common sense before posting a stupid question. You seem confused on what TOU are for.
KingLED: I see "mod" next to your name. Does that mean you're a Bump Board moderator? I'm truly taken aback that a moderator would call someone else's question "stupid."

  • Alrighty then! Sorry for asking…. I guess?
If you go to your birth month board, it's much "nicer" there ;) the only dumb question is an unasked one.
I also do not eat cold cuts and this is my second pregnancy. I cook a lot of chicken and take salad to eat with if. Buy different salad dressings. I also make dinners that I don't mind heating up the next day too- I'm picky about that. And if I do want a good ol' sammich, heat it up first ;)

Bullshit. BMBs can be the snarkiest of all.

There is always someone who says how sweet and nice their BMB is.... in the beginning.   LOL  Report back in three months when you all are sick of answering the same question eleventy million times.
Well then don't open the thread and don't reply? ;)
  • Stick to your birth month club. I'm new to this and see it seems "better" there lol. I'm a nurse with thick skin and I like my birth month club group
  • @spudshirley, I have had my first prenatal appointment and was told by my ob/gyn to avoid raw/undercooked meats as well as raw vegetables that may not have been washed well. How you interpret this and what you do with this information depends on your personality. I don't eat salad outside of home... For me for lunch, leftovers, sandwiches with cooked franks and/or cheese, pizzas work, peanut butter sandwich work well.
  • @GhostMonkey‌ you have a serious problem I see. Carry on :)
  • I came to this post thinking I would get some advice on lunches as well. :-(
  • Late to the party and nothing to add, but...

@joy2611 - are you the same one from TK back in the day?  The scientist?  If so, just saying hi!  Nice to see an old name around here.

  • Food. You eat food. You know, like the stuff you swallowed before you got pregnant. (And no I'm not talking about your husbands sperm)

    It's a BOY

  • @spudshirley‌ as a ftm myself I know you want to make sure you are eating properly. Just make healthier choices but don't feel bad indulging in anything either. Just eat. If there's something you question eat just google it and see if it's safe. Most concerns are with fish. If you want a sandwich eat one. If you are ordering it from some where just get it from a place you know is clean. My dr never really told me what not to eat other then watching the fish I ate. They tell ya not to eat bacon but I do. Once you get used to it you'll realize there really isn't very many stipulations on food. Just relax and enjoy your pregnancy.
  • Omg, it is the post that will never die. The OP has even GBCN, yet this lives on.

  • I lived on bagels with egg salad, all kinds of fresh and canned fruit, pretzels, and yogurt. They were the only foods that didn't make me nauseous in the beginning! I then liked stuff such as turkey cold cuts, string cheese, and soft tacos.

  • @GhostMonkey‌ my Dr never told me not to eat bacon. Never asked her but I've read it in several places not to due to nitrates in bacon. I couldn't live without bacon so I just don't eat it as often.

Pretty sure I would do the above in bold even if I wasn't pregnant.
  • You can get nitrate free bacon...

    GTFO!!!!!!!!!
  • congrats on your 1st pregnancy!!! I remember feeling like there were sooo many contradictions to foods that were ok to eat and not ok!!! Its ok to feel that!! you will learn as you go along like we all did! i am a 3rd time prego mommy and i remember the feelings/thoughts you felt! Talk to your dr/read as many books and then decide on your own what you feel comfortable eating
