Do you pump the other breast?

I am in the process of weaning myself from the pump and just breastfeed but I'm trying to make sure my supply stays up.  My DS eats off of one breast only every three hours.  So, one breast goes about six hours between feedings.  Should I pump the breast that's not getting eaten or just have him eat it at his next feeding? TIA!

Re: Do you pump the other breast?

  • i would just have him eat it at his next feeding b/c i am too lazy to pump for my stash.

  • I'm too lazy, so she just east off one breast at a time. If you want to keep supply up/freezer stash, I would pump. The only time I pump now is after the morning feeding.

  • DD only eats one at a time most of the time and I don't pump until after she goes to bed. I will only pump the other if it is really sore for some reason. So the other one just waits usually.... That would be too much pumping for me imo.

  • I do, but I'm still building my freezer stash.
