I'm currently undecided on middle names but for a girl first namewe like Juliet or Lauren.
Boys are really tough for us. I love the name Ben but would feel weird naming him just Ben and not Benjamin. I don't like names that are shortened so I don't love the idea of naming him Benjamin and just calling him Ben. I also love the name isaac but my sisters long time boyfriend is named that so that is out.
I've been enjoying reading this thread for some ideas
I had two boys as students a few years ago... Ben and Luke. Those were their full name, they were not short for anything. I think you could just name a boy Ben and have it not be short for something. Totally up to you
That's good to hear. DH and I just talked about it last night and we now settled on Lauren Eleanor or Noah David (he did't like Ben )

@katielyn1 I wish I could get my hubby on board for it, but he hates every name he hears so that's a problem. Also my son has a C name and I would rather not have both kids with C names. I'm glad someone else may use it though!
We are pretty out of boy names, so this really needs to be a girl, lol. Abigail is the name we want, middle name may be Margaret, Beate or Christine. All family members, not sure which one we will take in the end.
A boy will have George as a middle name. That's as far as we got with that. Possible names could be Andrew, Aaron or Anthony. Sense a theme? Yeah. We are that family.

Hey! I didn't realize you were having another. Fellow Oct11 Mom from the FB group so that's so exciting! We will be on number 3 as well

If it's a boy, he will be a third -- William Craig ____, III . I promised DH that we would go this route, but I struggle with calling my son and husband the same thing. DH goes by Bill so we would either go with Will or William. However, what are some other nicknames for the third other than Trey or Tripp? We do like Tripp, but we'll see. I would think about calling him Craig, but that's my CEO's name...brown nose, much?
For girls, I had so many that I loved, but now either someone else has named their daughter that name (damn you, Facebook) or it doesn't go with our last name. Some contenders are Abigail, Hannah, Nora, Ruth, Hattie. The names that I love that are off limits for one reason or another (but which might be good for some of you) - Paige, Pippa, Penelope, Scarlet (Lettie), Everly, Adelaide..the list goes on!
DH and DS are both William (different middle names, though). Hubby is Bill and DS is Will (mostly; I do like to call him William). I really like that they can share a name and even though it rhymes, I feel like the shortened versions are just different enough. And DH rarely uses William except at work.

Currently, for a girl, we like Amy, Megan, or Lauren. For a boy, we like Alexander (Alex) or Matthew. DH really likes David, and I'm neutral right now.
But, we might change our minds in the next few months.

That's because I am not 'out' yet over there, haha. I was just about to head on over.
For a boy, we've settled for Benjamin Prime :-) Because when we were dating, DH said he wanted to name his son Optimus Prime and I said I wanted to name my son Benjamin Kenobi (Obi-Wan Kenobi). So, we compromised.
I'm pretty sure we're having a girl though. So her name will be Willow Ophelia. Willow is the redhead on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and my husband is a redhead.
DH and I decided that if it's a boy, he gets dibs on the middle name and if it's a girl I do.
If it's a boy we're definitely naming him Henry and his middle name will either be James (DH's middle name) or Daniel (DH's name).
For a girl I'm totally stuck. Her middle name will definitely be Lucine, after my grandmother. My absolute favorite is Stella (nn Ellie) but DH isn't a fan. My other favorites are Lola, Ruby, Charlotte, Olive, Ellie, Priscilla and Camilla.
I think our boy name is pretty settled: (same one we were going to use last time if we'd had a boy) Bronson Benjamin nn Beau/Bo. We also like Wyatt for a boy. For some reason, we totally agree on boy names....girl names are another issue.
We will probably do what we did for the last pregnancy, which is not discuss it till we know what we're having. We disagree SO much on girl names, we don't want to argue unnecessarily.
DH hated all of my original girl names so I had him go through the huge 1,000 name list and he liked 2. We had two similar on our lists so we went with the one from my list. I do love her middle name of Michayla (pronounced Mi-Shay-La). I dread having to do this again, although, since he knows he doesn't like anything I may actually get my girl name if we have a girl which is Delaney. Everyone I tell that too says it goes perfectly with DD name. No middle name...we will probably discuss closer to time for the A/S.
Boy name is still picked out from the name game before: Landon Carter DH happened to like Landon which had been one of my long time picks and Carter is my Mom's maiden name.
We had very short lists all set and ready by this time of pregnancy last time around...this time, we haven't started talking beyond saying, "We have no idea."
Maybe we'll start dreaming soon, but it might just be easier for us to wait until the anatomy scan this time. I really don't know what this child's name will be!
We haven't talked names but a few that I came across prior to BFP and have held on to are Girls: Josephine and Cordelia and quite possibly Beatrice (bea) Boys: Theo, Haydon, and Jasper
H is pretty much on board for all, doesn't have a favorite girl name but Jasper is favorite boy name.
We probably won't talk names for quite awhile, but I am already thinking about them. For boys I like: Samuel, Gavin, Jacob, Matthew. Girls: Emma, Clara, Lillian, Elena, Josephine
Admittedly, I'm spending way too much time looking at random names inspired by Wrestling and Rapper names... This one had me in stitches a few minutes ago: Kid-Pain Insane Snake Majka
I think it was so funny to me because Adam's favorite movie character is Snake Pliskin from Escape from New York, and I know he'd be like, "YES. THIS IS IT."
~Live Well In This Moment With Love For Yourself And Others~
We both like Theodore, but hate Each other's nicknames for it (mine Teddy, his Theo). He has also vetoed Biblical names but I hope he will reconsider for Daniel and Gabriel.
For girls, we love Lyra, Hazel, Wren, and Isadora.
Our baby will have my last name, which is a fairly rare one with echoes in American folklore. That kept my folks from using their most desired names for me and my sister, thinking that "Guinevere" would be overkill with our last name. Turns out I don't care as much as they do! Bring on the unusual names!
@FilmMatch - that's an awesome tool! I also just paid 99 cents for their name shake app... Gotta have something to play with waiting at the doctor's office!
We are weirdly lucky that both of our mothers and both of our father's share middle names (Louise for the moms and Francis for the dads). So we decided long ago to use those for our middle names.
If it's a boy we've settled on David Francis. David is my favorite brother's middle name. I have 4 brothers...yes I have a favorite one.
For girls we go back and forth between Margaret NN Maggie or Cecelia NN CeCe. I think Margaret Louise NN Maggie Lou is cute as balls but DH thinks she'd sound like a Who.
DH is really hoping for a girl but we have chosen names to cover both just in case he doesn't get his way. We choose Cayden for a boy and Hayven for a girl.

Did I mention we're geeks?
Siggy challenge:
Me and DH havent talked much about it. I write down the names I like when i see or hear them.
Girls (he doesnt like any of them)- Juliette, Magdalena, Charlotte, Tessa, Charlie
Boys (very different names)- Ryker, Duke (husband wants this is boy), Zane, gunnar
I think our boy name is pretty settled: (same one we were going to use last time if we'd had a boy) Bronson Benjamin nn Beau/Bo. We also like Wyatt for a boy. For some reason, we totally agree on boy names....girl names are another issue.

I love Vivian Lee, but DH hated it last time.
We don't agree on many girl names. Our top contender is Ava Grace though I am not 100% sold on that yet.

So, in order to keep her involved with a name my husband and I both liked we decided on these two.
For a boy Oliver Michael Amaral
For a girl. Olivia Michelle Amaral
Both initials would be O.M.A.
If we decide to not go that route, we have also liked Wiiliam (Liam),Levi, Elijah (Eli), andTheodore (Theo) for a boy.
For a girl Emelia (Emme), Joslyn, Charlotte, and Julia.
Girls: Josephine and Cordelia and quite possibly Beatrice (bea)
Boys: Theo, Haydon, and Jasper
Boy: Jeremiah Isaac
