I bought a bottle of Rosa Regale literally days before my BFP. It was on sale so I figured I would buy it early for my birthday. So it's been sitting in my refrigerator ever since. That sounds like a nice first night home toast.
OMG scorpion bowl!?! Hahaha I haven't had one of those since my drunken college years at this filthy bar called the Hong Kong that served "teriyaki chicken" (code for possible rat on a stick) as the bar was closing! Too funny!
YES!!! Not college for me, but I will always associate scorpion bowls with the Kong and any law school parties. Or doing "boat races" with the scorpion bowls. Ahhh, memories.
I've mostly missed having beer punch (lemonade, beer, vodka) and sangria this summer, but I don't think I'll want to make either too quickly postpartum. I might ease into it with some wine. I have some good ones that we brought back from wine tasting in Santorini that I still haven't had yet.
I want a bottle of Grand Traverse Cherry Riesling, a whisky sour with Honey Jack, or an Angry Orchard it being fall I am leaning toward the angry orchard or a pumpkin ale. I agree with PPs it's a good time to have a baby before the fall flavors are gone again.
Ditto! I was given two bottles for my birthday (I hadn't told many people about my pregnancy at that point) and they are still sat in my wine rack looking at me patiently waiting to be opened
I feel like I need to make sure I get an Oktoberfest beer before they're out of the stores as those tend to disappear before Halloween (dumb). So I might stock up.
Also going to have pumpkin ale sometime after baby gets here, and then ease into some nice wine for Thanksgiving.
I'm had a very small glass of white wine a few times this pregnancy, but I can't wait to enjoy a vodka tonic after pregnancy. Or a pomegranate martini....

DH and I were out to dinner the other night, and they had Sam Adams Oktoberfest on tap. I almost cried I wanted it so bad. Like some others, I've had a few sips here and there, and about an 1/8 of a mimosa at my baby shower, but I'm at the point where ppl definitely judge you if they see you with a drink, so I've gone to fully dry until baby gets here. I'm planning to ask my doctor this week for the 411 on drinking while breast feeding, but my friends have said have one and don't sweat it. All that said, I want an Autumn beer of some sort and I want it as soon as I get home from the hospital.
Re: First alcoholic drink after baby
