5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
I have my 33 week appointment this morning at 9, so ideally I get to sleep in today. The dogs woke up at 5:30 and now I'm back in bed debating on whether to go back to sleep for an hour and a half or to get up and walk on the treadmill. I'm thinking sleep wins.
I had a dream that we were getting newborn baby pictures done and since it is fall, someone suggested to do a baking theme. (Like pumpkin pie). They said "you could put spice jars in the background that are the flavors of the fall season!"
The flavors of the season were pumpkin spice and...cytotec. (That is the drug they sometimes use for inductions, right?!?!)
I woke up almost laughing, but hopefully this isn't a sign of an induction in my future!
An OB appt & MFM appt this am! Looking forward to seeing the kiddos! I'm also thinking I may be getting a date for their grand entry too...kinda nervous about that!
Me: 37, DH: 42 Married March 22, 2003 TTC since early 2006, Fertility treatments since 02/2013 First Pregnancy with Twins EDD 10.24.2014
I love Baby Sideburns, but she just started SHIIIIIIT with this. I've been reading the comments all morning. I'm pro-hospital birth (Well, I'm pro-whatever-you-want birth, I guess, but for ME, I want a hospital birth), but regardless, I'm fascinated with reading both sides. I might not have time for a shower before work.
I live on the west coast and the sun isn't even up yet... And I have nothing to do today, nowhere to be, and I can't sleep. So I think I want a pumpkin spice latte but I don't actually want to get dressed to drive to Starbucks.

I have a (maybe) irrational fear that im going to pee my pants with this pregnancy.. I never did with my boys, but this time I just have a bad feeling random?
We reassembled the sidecar crib last night... woah! I'm 3 weeks from the gestation my son was born. Oh, and I got my first "ready to pop" comment from a lovely cashier yesterday. So surely the end is nigh.
@HappyCianci People also think I'm going to pop tomorrow. Annoying!
My allergies are KILLING ME! Luckily I have a doctor appointment and we're going to see LO for the first time since 20 weeks :x I'm still pretty sure I should have stayed in bed for the morning though. Does anyone else get annoyed when people call your baby their baby? It's stupid but I'm like
My acid reflux/heartburn is getting so bad I actually sometimes puke in the evenings now. It starts off as a reflux and then continues until I'm running to the bathroom to puke.
I'm eating MUCH smaller dinners now for fear of puking in bed again. No fun.
Woo, getting in on the first page! Though I'm sure by the time this goes up it will be well into the second....
My hands feel swollen today. I guess the water retention is starting? No likey.
I found out yesterday that I ended up getting royally screwed over with payband restructuring, so now I'm not sure if I'll be coming back to this job after my mat leave. I cried ugly tears yesterday.
@Kaylajade8911 OK, I'm glad it's not just me! I was starting to feel like a major bitch! I'm thinkin no it's my baby but I'll share with you! Also-love me some Chester Bennington from LP.
I just want to say that I just noticed @lurkernomore2 's avatar is a doughnut and now I am sad I only had 3 doughnut holes left for this morning. Must get more doughnuts.
I went to get a pumpkin pie blizzard yesterday after someone mentioned it on here...whoa. SO GOOD. I wish DQ was open right now because I need another one.
I bought 2 sleep and plays and 2 carter gowns/sacks for $3.50 yesterday from goodwill. Either they were never worn or worn like once. Not a single spot or sign of being stretched. I won yesterday
I am so tired today! Sick of not sleeping.. Oh well that is life right now. I have to kick some ass at work today.
Last night DH and I babysat for a friends kid - he will be 5 in December. I was surprised how well behaved the kid was, considering how sassy he is. No exaggeration either. This kid doesn't get what he wants, or is disciplined, he will haul off and smack mom in the face or start kicking and punching her. I just.. can't.... no way no how I would let that shit go down in my house.
Anyways I noticed this kid talks like he has marbles in his mouth all the time, you catch maybe one or two words. I have been around plenty of kids this age and that doesn't seem like the norm to me...

I love this! We have a baby/kids resale store called Once Upon a Child here (is this national? I don't know) and I got some baby guess jeans and a Ralph Lauren Polo onesie for $4.00 each. Perfect condition.
There is, what I assume is, a first time dad sitting in the OB waiting room while his wife fills out paperwork. He's maybe 21/22 and be keeps glancing at the pregnant women nervously and wiping his hands on his jeans. And when she just got called back he asked the nurse if he was allowed to come back. Super cute how nervous he is.
The cankles showed up yesterday. I guess I should be happy that it has taken this long for them to appear, but I have also been wearing support socks since May to help prevent them. Alas....at least they went away in the evening when I could put my feel up in the recliner.

Big morning: I scheduled my induction date and ordered my breast pump! The pump should be here within two weeks. The baby should be here in a little over three weeks.

So I think I want a pumpkin spice latte but I don't actually want to get dressed to drive to Starbucks.
Starbucks needs to deliver :-P
I have a meeting at 11 and am so, so tempted to drive to starbucks before it begins. For some reason PSL and toffee nut lattes don't impact my BG level very much.

OMG, this! My Mom kept calling DS1 "my baby" and it drove me nuts! Plus one time we were eating at a restaurant and she positioned his car seat in the sling so that it faced her and not me. (the back of the seat was to me). When I told DH how much it annoyed me, he thought I was overreacting.
This exhaustion is no bueno ladies. My in laws a coming from Boston to stay for a bit. Christ the state of our apartment X_X Luckily DH is home from work today to help clean. I really don't want to though. Maybe a Dunkin Donuts hazel nut coolata will help me start things off.
I took today out to hang out with dd... We thought she had pink eye again but it's looking more and more like a stye. The pedi said to keep her out today just in case. She was awesome Friday thru Sunday for me so I am hoping for a repeat today we are going to run some errands, go to the playground, pick up some jumbo sea scallops for a tasty dinner since they are on sale, and then take a long nap... Lol well her. I have tomorrow off as well to do fall cleaning... Aka from ceiling to floor of every room so I think during nap I will get a head start on some easier areas of my massive house so I don't stress myself out tomorrow. Oh yes and I really want a pumpkin pie donut right now like it's no ones business ...
I totally just went to get a pumpkin doughnut because of your post!

I don't know why I'm surprised, since my hospital is from 1982, but I now don't want to breast feed at all. It's too complicated, and it only left me with more questions.
Like, she said once the baby's 48 hours old, to start setting a timer on my phone for every 3 hours. If the baby's not hungry in 3 hours, I can wake her up to feed (this does not excite me) or, if the baby won't wake up and feed, I can use a pump. I'm unclear on if I'm pumping to empty the breast entirely (because what if baby wakes up in an hour and THEN wants to eat?) or just a little (I think just a little). Then, like, if the baby only feeds from one side, do I pump the other side?
I want to build up a supply for when I go back to work (although I'm taking at least 12 weeks off, so I do have time), and she kind of didn't go over that.
She seemed REALLY nice, though, and when we got there, she was like "You're related to Lisa!" (Husband's aunt is the head baby nurse there) So maybe we will get special treatment. Although, she only works Monday-Thursday, and she kind of said herself that waiting over a weekend with a breast feeding question is too long, but she won't be here from Friday to Sunday, so if I have this baby on a Friday, what do I do?
Someone here will help me, right? My internet friends?
She DID say that I should limit the amount of people who hold the baby, because the baby will get confused, and should really only be held by me and my husband if I'm trying to breast feed. This pleased me. Don't care if it's true, but I'm going to say it is.
Last night I couldn't sleep from all the pressure in my lower back so I looked up some stretches for relief. I did on that felt so good and really opens everything up but then i think LO received that as an invitation to sink lower. Cue contractions. ( i drank a ton of water and was eventually able to sleep it off so I can officially say I've made it to 35 weeks and still have a baby in my belly!!! Woohoo!!!

Love Once Upon A Child! So far the only clothes I bought for LO have come from there, including his "homecoming" outfit.

My mom also kept calling it "her baby". I got really snippy one day and said "no, this is my baby or DHs baby...you had nothing to do with it". She got really ticked and pulled the whole "I brought you into this world" crap. But she has backed off.
