I LOVE books. DS has a library of around 50 board books passed down from his big sis. he LOVES lift the flap books. He also loves the llama llama board books. we read two books each night at bedtime and i try to read during the day also. I was letting him "play' with the books but I wasnt paying attention (doing dishes) and he starting EATING the board book, like the cardboard was all mushy and pieces were in his mouth. oops. so now I supervise the books.
any books your kiddos love?
Re: Books for the babies
She's also into a Karen Katz flap book as well.... If I show her any other book she pushes it away and hunts for her 2 favorites
*She loves the flap book MAINLY because she's been ripping some of the flaps off, and I assume she wants to continue this.
She does like the "That's not my" series.

I love the Brown Bear books and the Llama Llama books! Peek a boo Sophie is okay but it's no Goodnight Moon, that's for sure.
Just a PSA I thought was relevant on this thread:
If you haven't already, check into the availability of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library through your local United Way. From birth to 5 years of age your child can receive 1 free book delivered monthly via USPS. ALL children from ALL income levels are qualified for this program... as long as your local area offers the program.
We moved last year just 10 miles outside of the area that offered it, so they dropped my son's subscription, but it really is a great program. When he got a little older, he looked forward to getting his monthly book in the mail.

She also really likes If I Were an Owl: https://www.amazon.com/Jellycat%C2%AE-Board-Books-were-Owl/dp/B008MAIHBO/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1410272295&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=If+I+were+an+owl+book. She loves touch and feel books, especially ones that have rough textures. She prefers to touch things that are rough and scratchy than soft and fuzzy. My child is strange.
