ameegee The Chicagoland Vampires series is also really good. I read 5 books in two weeks. I couldn't put them down. I'm sad because I have to wait for number 6.
Ooh. I've never heard of those. I just bought the first book in the wheel of time series. But if Chicagoland is even a little bit smutty, I need it.
It's not sexy until a bit  later. It does have hot men though. Very hot men. The main characters have fantastic chemistry. You can feel the sexual tension through the pages.

    Mmmmm sexual tension. ;)

I'm reading more sexy books because my sex drive has dropped since classes started again. Damn stress. Poor DH. And I really really want to want all the sex.

  • @shinyredsmartazz‌ I've never finished the series. Mostly because she never stops writing. And I got to the book last time where it got pretty dirty and really interesting. Then I stopped.

It was 70 here today. All day. Supposed to start getting into the 50s at night this week. Soooo excited.

As I resident of Florida I'm seriously twitching with jealously.

  • For those who don't know Guilty Pleasures is a paranormal strip club. I'm named after a place where super hot supernatural men take off their clothes for money.
I knew I had a Bump crush on you for a reason. I started that series a while back but kind of fell off the reading wagon when I got pregnant. I need to start back up again, I was getting them from the library on my Nook. I was reading the Merry Gentry series too. I can't remember the other supernatural series I was reading - I think some of them have been mentioned here before, I just can't think of the authors right now.
I stopped reading as much as I usually do for awhile. I'm just now getting back into my grove. I feel so much more like myself when I'm surrounded by books. I'll be reading Merry until I can get  the next Patrica Briggs book from the library.
  • ameegee Ethan Sullivan will make you want to drop your panties.
  • Idk what to eat for dinner other than beer.
I'm having vodka for dinner.  Beer sounds like a fine meal if you ask me!
honestly though, now I'm starving.  What are you having @jesuisfatiguee?
I stil don't know!!! :( Maybe just beer and cheese. I am going to lose so much weight this way.

We put the salmon in the oven. Hopefully it's edible.

    It's like sushi!

But actually, the oven should work just fine.

@shinyredsmartazz I adore Lynsay Sands. I haven't gotten very far in the Argeneau series but I remember it being really good. Keri Arthur and Sherrilyn Kenyon are in my top 10 list of favorite authors. Suzanne Johnson is quickly becoming a favorite. Patrica Briggs is fantastic.

Kelly Armstrong is amazing too. If you like YA the Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine is really good. It's next on my list after I finish what I'm reading now. Carrie Vaughn is also quite delightful. I can't forget about Gail Carriger. I wish I could live in the world that she created. I could go on forever.
  • So if you could only but one type of alcohol for two weeks what would you get? Beer? wine? liquor? I only have enough to buy one or the other. Suggestions?

    Liquor. It would last longer.

  • @shinyredsmartazz Audiobooks with headphones if you need the room to be quiet. It's what I listen to instead of music when I'm doing a lot around the house or garden.
  • @bay511 I feel like we could talk for hours about what we were and were not allowed to do and watch on tv as kids.

I'm glad you decided to come over here after that thread with all the deep, dark feels lol

  • Unrelated to my childhood (mostly?) I saw Pulp Fiction for the first time last night.

I am so glad Butch and his French girl got away. They were my favorites.

  • First of all, a confession.

I'm watching 19 kids and counting.

Secondly - the girl getting married (Jill?) said they are inviting between 1000 and 1500 people.  Holy shit.
Just a small family affair then?

She went on to explain "Well, lots of the families we are inviting have 10 kids, and well...it just multiplies quickly!"

No alcohol so it saves a lot of money. I bet the church makes the food as well

  • So I just called the cops on some people the next cul de sac over who, for the second Saturday in a row, are hosting some kind of music concert in their backyard, with amplified music and everything. The band is quite eclectic, so far tonight there have been covers of I would walk 500 miles, Blurred Lines, and La Bamba.

WTF, obnoxious neighbours. Who plays amplified concerts in residential areas??
    SQUIRREL!!!
