Sticky Posts

So I certainly don't want to congest the top of the threads with unnecessary stickies but I'm wondering if we can remake our own sort of master list of links to old threads that may be FAQs... There are some topics that have come up several times that maybe newcomers can go through and more easily find this way and then we can refer them there as opposed to flame them for not being successful in their search. Sometimes searching is easy, sometimes it's not. Said links can be deleted from the OP as soon as it's irrelevant. Suggested current topics: - freezer meal ideas/recipes - what do BH contractions feel like? - feeding related topics I can find some links to good threads as I find them. And then if people still ignore these links...pull your matches and lighters out. What does everyone think? I can start a poll if you like! ;)@pnwlover12 @golfingdarwinfish

Re: Sticky Posts

I'm indifferent to this; I know many people don't read stickies, but I am happy to pull a post together and make it an announcement.  I know in the past many people have complained if announcements take up too much space on the mobile screen, which is understandable.

We still have to add the bump glossary and the LD s/s to an announcement, and we can do that to an existing announcement or start a new one with links to everything.

Everyone feel free to share your thoughts.

  • I'm with GDF. We can do this, but I wonder if people will even bother looking at it before posting their question or discussion?

  • I think the bump glossary can be in the same post. Perhaps the announcement is titled something along the lines of OCT 14 FAQs or something with both general links and actual FAQs...I think a lot of people view it but don't necessarily have anything to say or use it as a reference. And then again, if someone posts a new thread they can be redirected to that thread. Searching can be a pita. I had to go through a few steps to get just the October 14 threads related to freezer meals for someone and it would have been more difficult on mobile.
