GTKY: Favorite beer?

We talk so much about wine, which I love. But I want to talk about beer. Which I love too.

What's your favorite?

For me: Blue Moon, Sierra Nevada, Yuengling, and 805.... So a few regional beers. ;)

I love the Abby Normal Ale from BJ's brewhouse, and I love a local brewery that has a stout called last snow which is coconut, white chocolate, and coffee

As for IPA's I love the local brewery Hop Gun, and I love New Belgium's Ranger

    I also love coors light.

Over all, I'm an Ale and Ipa kinda gal.

It depends on my mood, and the temperature outside.  The hotter it is, the lighter I want. If I'm cold, give me all the stouts and porters.
I want to go to there.

My all-time favorite is Abita Strawberry, which we can only get in the spring. We stock up on it. Other than that, I love trying new things. We have a limited edition Rogue in the fridge that's from their collaboration with Voodoo Doughnuts: Pretzel, Raspberry, and Chocolate.

My favorite name for a beer: Polygamy Porter by Wasatch Brewing (my mom lives in SLC).

Abita Strawberry, Dogfish Head Festina Peche mixed with their 90 min IPA, Harvest Moon from Blue Moon, Magic Hat #9, Allagash White, Brooklyner Weisse, Guinness, Ommegang Hennepin.... I have a lot of favorites. Depends on the occasion and the season.
@cstuart07 hennepin is also one of my all-time favorites!  I'm a big fan of saisons.

My #1 favorite is Brooklyn's Local 1.  #2 would be Unibroue's Fin du Monde.  I love a nice malty brew.  #3 would probably be a tie between Ommegang Hennepin and Delirium Tremens.

My favorite seasonal beer, by far, is Southern Tier's Pumking.  I've heard their Warlock (Imperial Stout) is really good too, it's on my list to try asap : )

I have never tried any of the Great Lakes beers but I always see them at Wegmans.  I'll keep an eye out for the Christmas Ale : )

My absolute favorite are two local beers: New Glarus Spotted Cow and Capital Lakehouse Lager. I'm sure 99% of you have never heard of those (only available in Wisco). I also like the occasional Blue Moon and Leinie's.

I love spotted cow. We drive up to Wisconsin to stock up sometimes. Totally worth the drive.

We have friends in Colorado who send us west coast beers occasionally - I love Crooked Stave sour beers and anything Russian River makes.

I'm also a German beer fan and my two favs are Koestrizer and Paulaner Dunkels.

I could really keep going, we are way more into beer than wine. We buy wine when we travel to good wine making areas, but at home we almost always drink Bota boxes.

    Edited for spelling.

Lost Abbey's Red Barn Ale and St. Bernardus ABT 12 are my two year round favorites.

Seasonally I love pumpkin beers. I'm drinking a lot of Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale right now. Also seasonal, had some really interesting beers a couple weeks ago, but I don't know what distribution is like: Ballast Point Indra Kunindra and Allagash Fluxus.

Abita Turbo Dog year round, and their pecan seasonal is amazing.

We have a local brewery (like, right down the street local) called Southern Star that does an amazing stout called Buried Hatchet. Their beers are all canned.

The O'Fallon brewery in Missouri makes the best pumpkin beer ever; nothing down here even comes close. I miss that beer...

These days I only buy local brews, with Shipyard Pumkinhead (fall) Shipyard Melonhead (summer) being my favorites.  I buy most of my Shipyard directly from them since I can walk to their store - it's cheaper than buying it in the grocery store.  I also like Allagash White, but that is usually something I only get in bars.
