December 2013 Moms

Welcome to SPAMalot!

I seriously may pass out at work today. Last night I had trouble falling asleep and then lil miss Raylin woke up at 4am and decided she was not going back to bed. We room share so that was pleasant. By the time my alarm went off at 6am I was already exhausted. I am sure now that I am up and off to work for the next 12 hours she will sleep like a champ for daddy. Just my luck LOL.

The weather here is staring to cool off and its turning into my kind of weather, I can't wait for my day off Tuesday to go out and enjoy it. I am thinking as long as it does not rain that its time to take the dogs to the dog park.

I hope you all have wonderful, fun filled Saturdays!!!!

Hey!! Ha - OP your post sounds a lot like I was going to write. Baby woke up at 3am and wouldn't go back to sleep...so I told DH to take the shift. It's starting to cool off here to and look like fall. I wasn't ever excited about seasons, but I think we'll do family photos in the fall each year. I'm headed to a funeral this morning for a 53 yr old coworker who died of a heart attack. So sad.
My love tit is not for your co-worker that is sad and I am sorry. A 40yr old patient of mine passed away last week of a blood clot. SO sad.

I'm so mad I forgot alll about today's iflatable 5k. I'm made because 1. I wanted to do it SO BAD and 2. Because I wanted to go to the beach today, but the inflatables are on the beach and well... Crowds.
That sucks on both accounts! Maybe you can find something else equally fun to do??
  • I would totally take that alternative! :)
  • DD seems to be feeling a little better today. Thank goodness. She still doesn't feel good but her fever is down.
I don't have any plans today besides baby snuggles and maybe some cleaning.

  • @greenbeanqueen I love your plans!

@mamagplus4chix I would be irritated as well. When I want to do something I want to do it now not 20mins from now. UGH!

  • I feel irrationally upset, because it wa a nice thing, really. But there are times when I look back at a moment and think 'I should have done it my way'. It seems to happen a lot lately. He's feeling quite 'good husbandy', which is why you ladies get to hear my whining. He did a nice thing ( untimely but nice), and I don't feel a shred of gratitude. Nice wife must be off somewhere else.

I get what your saying 100%

I have the day off thank goodness. Me and baby K just got up, we were up at 5 but she thankfully chugged a bottle and was back out. DH is playing ball and we're going to meet my MIL and 2 SIL for lunch. They live 1.5 hours away so were meeting half way. I'm going to have the one bring her camera so we can go to the park. I love this cool weather!! Sooo ready for fall!!!
I got Raylin's fall wardrobe out and I am just stoked to put some of the stuff on her. Even though she didn't wear but 1/2 of her summer clothes because she never grew into them LOL.

  • Ugh! So jealous of all the cool weather. It's hot and muggy here! Out family room is a loft and it's like a sauna up here already!

Any CT bumpiest from the Mystic area? We're taking LO to the aquarium and looking for restaurant suggestions for dinner.
  • What price range are you thinking @ltpugs??
  • @ugoglencoco‌ We'll have LO so it has to be family friendly and not too expensive.
It's DH's bday on Monday and he wanted to go to Bills in Westbrook for lunch. (So excited!) We also wanted to take LO to the aquarium on Sunday so to avoid a ton of driving we're staying at a hotel on Sunday night. It's turning out to be an expensive birthday weekend!
  • Fun!!! I love mystic! Enjoy yourselves! I really liked the mystic boathouse the last time we were there! It was really delicious and prices were in like $10-$18 range and pretty casual!

@ugoglencoco‌ thanks for the suggestion! I will check it out.

DH and I are dying to try The Oyster Club but it doesn't seem like the place to bring LO. Maybe next summer DH and I can get a sitter and go for an overnight without the little man.

That's what I was going to suggest because it is my FAVORITE. But it really isn't kid friendly and more expensive. But you should definitely go when you get a chance, it's amazing!

So jealous! Wish it wasn't so far away for us!!!!

  • So now DS has a runny/stuffy nose. I swear I just can't win. DD had diarrhea twice this morning but she looks like she's feeling better. She sttn (woo Hoo!) and got up for a bottle at 5:15 then back down again until 9am. DS got up at 7am so we went and cuddled on the couch until DH came down with DD. He watched the Incredibles and I slept, it was nice.

My kid wants to go to sleep at 630 every night but then wants to eat at 330-4 and then wants to be up at 5 for the day, everyday. Is she broken?
    Not broken, Just unique ;)
  • Fall fair today. DD#1 is alternating between absolute excitement and terror at the thought of going. I just don't get her.

  • I haven't been on much lately since I am back to work. I get no cell phone connection there.

This morning I vaccuummed the rug by our entrance door from the garage. While doing that I noticed how gross it was behind our refrigerator, so I pulled it out to vacuum behind it. Our refrigerator is right by the door. In the process of moving the refrigerator I apparently broke the electrical cord. I guess the cord was broken from the previous owners, because it was taped. So for the last hour my husband has been trying to figure out the best way to fix it. Our neighbor is helping now. What a mess I caused just by trying to be clean.

  • So even though I love everything Fall I refuse to eat/drink anything Fall related or put out Fall decorations because I do not want summer to end. I hate winter and I can't stand the thought of it getting closer.

I'm excited about fall! It's my favorite season. I really like winter and I hate summer. We've been stuck indoors all summer! Can't wait for cold weather!

  • Got to come home for my hour lunch break today, Only because my oldest DD is broken out all over her body in hives. I feel so badly for her. I have a huge suspicion that it was from wearing her friends clothes. DD is allergic to Bounce dryer sheets and I think that family uses them. So now she is laid up doped up on meds. I have 3 hours left at work and I hope by the time I get home they are gone. If not off to the urgent care we go because she has other health issues that can make it almost impossible for her body to take care of the hives alone. FX for her. This magical day just gets better and better. "This to shall pass".

  • Wtf is that @mcncheese?!!?!

So I'm really excited for my alone time after LO goes to bed but I don't feel like cooking for just myself (and her by default) so I'm having cup o' noodles and she's having cheese and cantaloupe.

So after spending hours on etsy for my own stuff, I bought T some new headbands for some retail therapy.

@sweett11‌ what is your etsy shop? I LOVE etsy.

  • We went to my brothers football game today and K crashed hard at like 7...I hope it's for all night mama needs sleep.
Oh and the bathroom thing...if I close the door even a little K is there screaming until I let him in. Then he sits on the floor and "talks" to me...kid can I please poop alone?
  • Well that failed lol @mcncheese‌ really though he doesn't do that to ANYONE else! Kid I love you but this is something I need to do alone lol
  • Lol @mcncheese it looked like he was swallowing them!

Kahlan decides to not be tired at bedtime only on the nights DH works late. So when I get the chance to be alone, she decides not to sleep.
