  I like it here too, I tried looking at the 2nd trimester board and couldnt follow the posts in between the snarky comments. Some people were trying to be nice and supportive, but then there was the odd one the was ruining things. so supportive in here.

  Yep totally. When I am bored or can't sleep I will swing over to the birth month clubs for entertainment but I have been using this one and pgai for communication.

  I like my BMB. Alot of nice ladies. A few crazies show up here and there but not like the other birth boards lol. It just moves too fast for me when I'm busy at work!

  ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
  Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

  This board is definitely great.  I'll probably ask all of my questions here.  My BMB I read for entertainment and to waste time between appointments.  Every once in a while I'll answer a question, but it's just too much drama for me to handle.  Why they are so cruel I don't understand at all.

  Agreed!  My BMB is cray cray and I've often been appalled at how rude some of the comments can be (like I honestly think that some ladies post snarky stuff just to be rude and put the OP down).  I am not that way and really try to add value to the conversation.  Sigh.  I still check it, but am finding that I'm completely annoyed with most of the posts so I am posting less and less.  My BMB has a FB group that is much smaller and the ladies there are very nice and not rude in their comments- probably b/c their names are attached to their comments!  I agree that this group is much more supportive and seems to want to help vs tear apart.

  I'm enjoying this board much more than the others! It's so peaceful, helpful and calm! I'm 35 and a FTM so I tried to check out birth months & 1st tri boards but the comments are so bitchy, sarcastic and rude for no reason. I prefer to hang with you "mature" ladies! :-)

   I don't get to participate anywhere much due to time (and fatigue lol). but yeah, the BMB have a lot of crazy going on. I did get a little annoyed recently but then they did an age thread and I realized I was old enough to be many of their mothers!!!
  
   So I figure, the ones who are immature will grow up someday In the meanwhile, I'll continue to share my experience and people can take what they want from that.

  That's my least favorite part of the Bump boards.  People are allowed to eviscerate other people, and the moderators don't seem to intervene.  It got really bad when I was hanging out here during my previous pregnancy.  Just awful stuff.  It's something that really should be better monitored across all the forums.

  Oh thank goodness you people exist, and more importantly thank @mdogan29 for letting me know about this board. I got my 12 DPO BFP yesterday, and decided to venture beyond "TTC after 35" and take a peek at a few of the other preggers boards. I had to quickly put the browser down and step away from the keyboard to prevent overreacting to some of the comments...

  Ftm here! 40. Single. Used donor sperm. Also had my 11 week u/s yesterday and the little one was moving arms and legs around like it was dancing. So relieved!

  @skrittens I have been trying to go back to the mbc board(i am due 3/27) for weeks now and every time I think things have gotten normal, BAMB they knock a newbie into the middle of next week. It's just cruel and unneeded stress on them as well as their selves. It baffles me why take the time to rake someone over the coals when you can just choose to not answer the question if you don't like it. I am actually afraid to post something there for fear it doesn't follow within their guidelines of posting rules they have made up..ha! So with that said, I will be active here in normal land with the grownups.

  There is something to be said for maturity. I feel bad that they find happiness in putting others down during this intense times in our lives. I have to admit that I stay with it because of the 35 and older board. I need support and understanding not ridicule and immaturity. Thanks ladies.

  When I first joined I was shocked at what some members got away with.  The name calling and belittling, when I tried to stand up for the victim, I became the new target.  I am 43 and was brought to tears.  They even sent nasty messages to me.  I sent a message to report some of the abuse towards this particular girl and it was made clear that she was within her rights to have her own opinion.  Well I was so close to just leaving "The Bump" but instead, took a break.  When I returned I explored the Over 35 group and well, have never gone back to the "other side" since.
  So much comfort and support here!!!  Thanks ladies!!

  Well I think I will give this board a try. This is my second baby and for the first go around I lasted maybe a week in my birth month group before I had to leave. I just could not take the snarkiness and mean spirited people. I came back to give it another shot and it is still the same. Different people, but same MO. I decided to venture out and stumbled onto this board... maybe I have finally found a home.

  ITA about the BMB - they are awful. I'm a third time mom, going on 40, and try to offer some neutral advice when asked, but I find it harder and harder to stay neutral with all the negativity. I really don't get how some of the younger moms use the board, it's such a different mindset. I'm liking you ladies more...I think I'll stick around
