Antibiotics and nebulizer treatments are working. Thank goodness. She's starting to breathe easier.
Nothing in the world spikes my anxiety levels like my babies struggling to breathe. Yesterday my mom, a nurse, came over and commented on how calm I seemed. I burst into ugly tears on the spot. )
I'm terrified that they'll both struggle with upper respiratory issues all winter again.

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
It was one of my favorite things for S from about 18 months to 3. I loved having a contained place for him to be able to reach the counter to cook with me, safely.
But it is beginning to become the launching pad for acrobatics, the fun thing to scale and it takes up about half of the kitchen. I am so sick of tripping over it, of cleaning under/over/on it, and lugging it across the floor.
I want to say it will last until A is three, but that means when S is almost 5.5. I don't know if I can last that long!
We also have a vacuum lover. She wants to push it around and it do it herself. It's cute but she gets made that I have to help her. Maybe we need a toy vacuum too.
I did an extensive search on amazon for child sized vacuumes that actually have suction. I was disappointed. I feel like if she's going to push it around she may as well be getting the cracker crumbs off the carpet.
C uses our swiffer without all the handle pieces. You could do the same with the swiffer vac?
@ramy3695 - No, I didn't update, but it went great! HB was 143, we heard it loud and clear. My OB also uses an old ultrasound machine on the first visit so we got to see LO wiggling around in there. We saw it's hands waving around, it was awesome. Thanks for asking
@Cfreymc - Keenan bites our big toes too, it's so weird.
We also have a vacuum lover, he "helps" push it.
For the third time in the last 4 nights Keenan has slept through the night, it's been awesome! I hope it's the start of a trend and not a one-time thing.
Ha, I think the red-eye flight is mostly to blame. He is just now starting to stir...

@ilovemyducks21 Awww, love ultrasounds!! @mystererae all the good vibes today!! @haddocky hats will depend on your lo, but I say but them and give it a try!! @lizabethann06 I'm glad the treatments are working....
Tired morning here....Allison had a very restless night, tossing and turning and crying out, then she would fall back to sleep, but she's definitely got her first daycare cold....thought she would at least make it through the first week.....
Today I'm taking my older dd out. We are going for haircuts, lunch and shopping!! We don't get to do this often so it's a nice treat!! I'm currently giving myself a gel polish manicure and have decided today is for me!!! Screw you husband who thinks I haven't been doing enough.....lol
I'm at the eye doctor office. The receptionist asked my age when he took in my paperwork. I totally blanked out. It took me about 10 seconds to say 30.
And then I sat and thought about it. I'm turning 32 in November.
Getting so much done today! Changed and washed all sheets, washed all towels, cleaned the kitchen floor, vacuumed G's room and hallway, emptied and filled dishwasher, picked up the living room and sat on my ass watching Criminal Minds. G has been sleeping since 10. It's 112. Holy crap.
One of my&d.h.'s friends invited us to a party but not d.d. and we don't have a babysitter near the party (we haven't left her w/someone else yet, so we'd want to be nearby). Friend tags all of the invitees in a status asking if we saw the invite. A handful of us respond saying why we can't go (others' had plans already...which he should've expected since he wrote on the invite he knew it was last minute). At least thirteen people didn't respond...so there were at least thirteen people that may have been able to go. I think that's a pretty good turnout for a party you invited people to the same week! Then he cancels the event and puts up a status saying, "You just really can't depend on anyone but yourself.". Seriously??? Go ahead and put up the status, but don't include the people w/valid reasons for not being able to attend a LAST MINUTE PARTY! Ridic.

BIL is like this. He doesn't invite children to his parties and then wonders why no one can come! Let your friend have a pity party for one!
Seriously! His Fb statuses for a while were all whiney but then he got fired from Panera and got a better job so I thought those would go away. One party he thought would fail, and whiney boy is back.

L.o.l., don't get me started on b-i-ls. My b-i-l's b-day is a month and 6days after d.d.'s. Last yr. he decided to actually plan his own b-day and invites us on a long drive day trip to an observatory. We didn't have ANYONE to leave d.d. w/at this point. and then it was all *MEH!* when we said we couldn't go Like, really? You couldn't have done this the 8yrs. I knew you beFORE I had a kid?? Then this yr. he invites us down his neck of the woods to a late dinner...meaning d.d.'s bedtime would've been wayy later, and our time at dinner would've been shorter than our time driving. *Sigh*
My kid always wants to take things out of the garbage. We have the kitchen blocked off so she can't get to that one and we keep the bathroom doors closed but we have a small gatbage in out bedroom and sometimes she will go over to it and start pulling garbage out. [-X Luckily theres nothing too gross in there.

My kid's reaction to the vacuum is to try and yell louder than it. He is unusually successful. Oh, and he is not really interested in the toy vacuum.

We are supposed to have a thunderstorm and weather.com keeps pushing it back so I keep not running the errands I want to run in anticipation. I know as soon as I go outside the sky is going to tear open and shit all over us, though.
There's this girl on Instagram who posts selfies all the time. Every single day. A pic of herself doing the same thing, same facial expressions and she even makes a collage...of...her...face. WTH? @-)
Time to unfollow. I can handle at most one selfie a week before I have to say good bye.

Omg DS was obsessed with vacuums when he was little, my mom ended up finding this pump for a huge exercise ball...which was essentially a short, cylinder accordion shaped piece of plastic, that you could pump up and down, and it had a tube coming out of it so it resembled a mini vacuum. DS drug that thing around everywhere forever! It was he's favorite! I'm going to see if I can find a pic
