I saw my ob again today. My blood pressure was 148/83, so high but not too awful. I will be doing a 24 hour urine collection next week and will be checking my bp 3x's a day. If it is staying in the 150's/90's (or close) I will start labelatol and keep up with frequent appointments. I see the high risk dr on the 16th and I'm interested in what she will say. My ob said he thinks I am going to develop pre-e early and said his goal is to get to 28 weeks at the very least. I would like to add 10 more weeks at least to that!

Re: Blood pressure update
glad your doc is looking into things more.
sent you a PM earlier this week...here's the gist
I have had 2 pregnancies with high BP starting in 1st tri. I was put on Labetelol in 1st tri, did 24 hour urine catches at 13w, 20w, 28w, and 34w to track my progress towards Pre-E. Thankfully the BP meds, low sodium diet, and walking kept my BP regulated in the 130s/80s (with meds) and my Pre-E levels got close to a diagnosis, but never over the limit.
I saw a Perinatologist at an MFM clinic for growth ultrasounds at 20w, 24, 28, 32, 36w and had 2x weekly Bio-physical Profiles from 32w onward. High BP can cause babies to not grow well and cause the placenta to crap out early.
I did NOT need bedrest, but that would have been the next step if things got worse.
I was induced at 39w with both, had non-complicated vaginal deliveries for both. My kids were 9 and 11 pounders at 39w, strong and healthy.
My BP went back to my normal within a couple weeks of birth too.
You'll probably end up on the BP meds, should definitely be doing the 24 urine catches with a creatinin clearance test too, and should be monitored in 3rd tri for placenta issues and baby's growth.
Good luck!
