@oops1234 Oh! You did such a good job, I almost did that exact fabric haha. I went with a dark blue instead. i put it in a previous crafty moms post. Here it is: https://i.imgur.com/AyYsZ0y.jpg
haleyusf I'm planning on making the plushie stacking blocks as well! I love them even for just decor in the living room hehe.
As for my craftiness the past couple weeks. I've done nothing. Mainly just de-cluttering the house. Made some baby blankets for a friend of mine who is having a baby girl. I did however take a trip to fabricland....
I have been working on projects I'm selling to other people, so I still haven't finished 2.0's reindeer hat I kind of feel like a bad mom admitting that! With my first I had so many hats ready for her by the time she was born...
@derpsi - I love all your fabric!! Do you know anywhere to get cute fabric for boys? I'm having a really hard time finding stuff I like that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
All those baby hats are so cute!!
I finished making blackout curtains last week - they are by no means professional but they work!

Finished my mei tai makeover! It used to be cow print (I was in a cow phase with DS) and now it's Star Wars themed so that SO will be happy to use it! I just had to cut away the old fabric and stitch in the new.
blessdtxas I just went to fabricland (in Canada) and found some there. You can order some on www.fabric.com though! very trusted website, and lots to choose from. Daily deals even! The funny part is, I bought all that fabric for other peoples baby projects and a quilt im working on for myself! Oranges and reds!
@Kmm1023 it was really simple. Not a natural motion at all but it wasn't complicated. I made my first hat in a little over an hour and that includes me starting over half way through. I watched several YouTube videos prior to starting and one during my project to help me along the way. I'm going to attempt some mittens and booties too. They appear to be a similar concept.
Ok so this loom knitting thing is it really that easy?
It really is easy! I made my little hat in about a half hour with two toddlers crawling all over me and trying to "help". The looms are about $5 (get the 24 peg loom for newborn hats) so the only real expense is the yarn. I like the silk or bamboo blends so they are extra soft but also pricier. Thankfully, the newborn hats don't require much yarn.
