Has anyone else felt baby move?

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and a first time mom. I SWEAR I've felt the flutters of my baby moving but when I try to find answers I'm told that it's too early. Have any other first time mommy's felt anything?? Or am I just getting so anxious that my mind is playing tricks on me? Some of my family members said that it could be possible!

Re: Has anyone else felt baby move?

  • It's possible to feel your baby at 15 weeks. I felt my first that early, but movement didn't become consistent for a few more weeks. It actually took longer to feel my second because of the placenta placement. I felt this baby for the first time Sunday, but there hasn't been any movement I can feel since. Enjoy the first flutters. It's awesome to have such tangible proof of the tiny life you carry!

  • Totally possible. Congrats! It's exciting. I didn't feel my first move until much later, but I think I was more common in that because I didn't recognize it. The more pregnancies I've experienced, the more aware I am of things like that.

I think I am feeling the baby move. For me it feels like flutters and slight tapping. I know exactly where the baby is because I use a doppler, so I know it is right where the baby is. Lots of my STM friends said it is VERY possible that it is the baby based on the way I am describing it. I have only felt it a few times within the last two days, but it seems to be becoming more frequent.

Don't let anyone tell you you are not feeling the baby, it's your body, you know it more than others :)

  • STM and 17 weeks - have felt more of a rolling sensation and I know its him bc I def know what gas feels like these days!
  • I am almost 16 weeks and I feel mine move everyday. A lot during the day the last few days. Trust your body. If you think it's your baby moving then only you know
  • I'm 15 weeks 3 days and my baby kicked me last night! I'm a ftm too :). It was like popcorn.. Lots of little pops .. All I can say is.. I don't even have to question.. Even being a ftm.. You know when you feel it!!
  • Eh maybe.  Last time, I definitely felt a strong kick around 19 wks.  I thought I felt something and DH happened to put his hand on my abdomen right before DS kicked us both hard.  It was so cool to both experience the first kick together.  This time, I've had sudden, localized "pressure," but not definitive.

I doppler once a week to keep me sane.  :)

  • I have definitely felt something. It felt like a real roll and move. It's made everything very real! I'm a STM and didn't feel my first until 19 weeks but this time At 15 I'm definitely feeling little one wiggle.
  • With my 1st I felt flutters at 16w and kicks by 18w.

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I have felt movement for about 3 weeks now. I have an anterior placenta so I really only feel her on the sides. We had a n u/s last week which showed she is lying breech. This explains the scratching feeling I have mostly on the right (where her legs are)
  • I'm 16 weeks yesterday (Wednesday) and my doctor looked at me like I was absolutely insane when I told her I thought I felt the baby move when I was at my appointment on Monday. I swear I feel it move especially in the morning after I empty my bladder. It's like the kid is like finally, more room!

  • I swear I felt it last night, I totally believe it's possible! Enjoy!!!
  • Either my baby was tapping out morse code or he/she had the hiccups earlier.

  • I felt two very distinct kicks last night as I was laying down. :) However, I'm a STM and I'm already 18 weeks. This time I felt the very first flutters at around 14-15 weeks.

With my first I didn't feel anything for sure until 22-23 weeks or so (it's hard to remember exactly). Although, looking back, I think I really did feel her before then but just kept second guessing myself and convincing myself it was gas.

It is entirely possible you are feeling that baby!! I know you must be over the moon. It is such a special feeling. :)

  • I'm 15 weeks 2 days and I've felt flutters twice now!
  • Absolutely nothing for me.  16w this weekend, but the FTM aspect isn't helping either I guess.

I am confident I felt my little towards the end of week 13.  He kicked me 3 times! It felt like tapping each kick in the same region pretty quickly and then it was over.  I've been looking for the feeling again but I haven't felt him again yet. I can't wait to feel him moving around all the time!! But I suppose I have a few more weeks. :-)

  • I have felt flutters, but at this point it's hard to tell if it's the baby or gas. ;)  I can feel the little lump where Peanut is, but no definitive kicks.  With DD, I felt her around 17 weeks for the 1st time.  I'm hoping that I'll be able to feel Peanut just as early (I'm 16 weeks tomorrow, so almost there!).

  • I have felt flutters a few times - I like it when I can feel the little feet and arms and can see my belly roll. Then I REALLY know he/she is in there :) That started for me a little after 20 weeks with DD. We will see with this one.

Love this feeling. For me, it's the best part of being pregnant.

  • I think I have...? I have these random twitches that feel like tiny muscle spasms that I swear is the baby! At least that is what I'm going with. It's not every day, an when I do feel it seems to be after I eat and am real still.
  • I started feeling baby at 14+2 and have been feeling it everyday, I am now 16+6 --totally possible.
  • I began feeling little flutters around 15 weeks also (also a FTM) and was unsure for a while but at 17 1/2 weeks as the feeling becomes more noticeable and frequent I'm pretty confident that is what it is! So I vote yes, it's possible! My doctor also told me if likely be able to feel baby very early due to placenta placement, etc.
  • It's possible you did! With my DS I felt it at 15 & 1/2 weeks it stopped me dead in my tracks cause it was a hard kick but I blew it off being a FTM then a week later twice within an hour I felt the same exact thing in the same spot so then I knew. Then the same feeling became more consistent. This pregnancy being a STM I started feeling "rolling" at 13 1/2 weeks but it was very random and I would go a couple days with nothing. Now at 16 weeks I'm feeling it everyday several times
  • I'm 15 weeks and felt movements for the first time over the past couple of days. It really depends on if you know what you're looking for.

  • I believe I have! I started feeling light flutters at about 12wks, close to 13wks, and am going on 15wks tomorrow. It's not constant, but every once in awhile. My doctor even asked me at my appointment last week if I felt flutters and told me it was definitely the baby when I told her yes.

  • Im 14 weeks + 3 days, been feeling flutters over the last 2 days but im not sure if its baby. I hope it is :-)
  • I'm 18 weeks and I've felt faint flutters and vibrations (like a cell phone) for a couple weeks... Very randomly. I'm hoping they'll start being more regular and stronger any day now.
  • I'm glad you posted this! I am 15 weeks tomorrow as well and I swear I felt the baby on Sunday, but I wasn't trusting myself. It felt like little bubbles but I wasn't gassy at the time or anything. I haven't noticed anything since.
  • I can feel little movements at night when I'm laying on my left side.
  • I feel it too, particularly if lying on my left side or sitting forward... It's like s/he is saying, "mom! You're squishing me" It's a pretty cool feeling. It's not consistent yet, but I'm sure it's him/her!
  • I started feeling this lo at 13 weeks, as of the last week (17 to 18) I get regular movement on a daily basis. Some days are lighter than others, but it's really nice to have the reassurance.
  • Kiddo is definitely doing some muay thai in there. Much more kicking than my first did at this stage.

Yours too? I can feel him rolling/pushing and once in a while I get a good stab out of him. I felt my DS start moving around this time but he was never THIS active! When does your LO seem to be awake the most? My little guy gets all sorts of floppy around 11pm when I'm trying to sleep lol

  • I think I felt it for the first time today! I'm 16 weeks 3 days. It's also my birthday so it was a great surprise I will always remember.
  • I am so jealous of all you ladies who can already feel your baby. Congrats!

I am 18 weeks, FTM. At m appointment last week my doctor asked me if I felt her and I responded no. She told me I may not for another 2 months. WTF?!!! Possibly another 2 months before I feel her? I think I am going to go insane if I have to wait that long.

I thought I felt her moving the other day when I was laying in bed. I was excited and tried waking up DH. But I quickly realized it was just gas. What a let down.
