Natural childbirth

Re: Natural childbirth

  • I'm personally aiming for an unnatural birth.  My goal is to have this child spring out of my forehead like Athena born from Zeus.  Anything less is a failure.
And you better not have so much as one bead of sweat drop either!
Did you watch Farrah's 16 & Pregnant episode?  Perfect makeup and hair through her entire delivery.  possibly not a drop of sweat either.

My hatred of her was sealed that day....
Now she could have a baby fall out of her vagina, as beaten up as it probably is now.

  • I've been all of a sudden last minute really wanting to go med free. But this late in the game I'm panicked I won't have time to really prepare for it. My husband is super supportive saying are you crazy you can't handle pain at all. Thanks babe. If you could do one thing to mentally prepare yourself, resource, what would it be?

Read! "Evidence based care" is super important. (try evidencebasedbirth.com) The more you know about how a physiological birth works, the better.
  • Thanks! I'll check it out now

  • What is it with people posting questions, then not liking the answers they get, and they all of the sudden "feel sorry for" our kids and husbands... That response seems to be super popular among the post one and done group...
  • I had a drug-free birth with my first son, and plan to with this baby as well! (Due Oct 21). I recommend reading books that encourage you to view birth as a usually normal event that your body was made to do. My favorite is definitely the Sears birth book/healthy pregnancy book. Ina May's books are also very helpful, though take what she says about hospitals with caution.

Also, consider laboring in the tub if you can! I found that that really helped me relax the first time around. Good luck!
