When was your wedding? November 2010

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like? I had an ivory lace and organza dress with beaded spaghetti straps. My bridesmaids dresses were cranberry color and just a simple A-Line.

How about your cake? My cake was 3 tiered with ivory buttercream and hand painted branches on the sides with real orchids on the bottom and top. My cake topper was a crystal studded monogram.

Where did you go for your honeymoon? We took a 5 day trip to Las Vegas. Nothing spectacular but it was paid for by my FIL so we were happy to get away. DH had never been to LV so that was a new experience for him. My mom actually lives in LV so I've been there plenty, but it was nice to go out to dinner with her one night while we were there.

September 17, 2009 in Florence, Italy

Five year anniversary in 2 weeks!

We had the civil ceremony at the Medici Palace (town hall) at Noon and then our church ceremony at an American Church.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like?

Getting married in Italy, I only had one bridesmaid, my sister. She wore a dress that she adored from Ann Taylor that was a deep brown/orange. It was a beautiful fall color that went great with my bouquet.

How about your cake?

We had a party a month after the wedding and the cake was three tiers and fairly plain.

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

Florence, Rome, Venice, Salzburg, Paris

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like?

Ivory drop waist Ball Gown by Eve of Milady. It was a beast. Weighed over 35 pounds with an 8 foot trail. Not very practical for dancing, but it was my dream dress. My girls wore my favorite color pale yellow floor length gowns. Let my sister pic them.

How about your cake?

4 tiers. Bottom layer was an apple spice cake with buttercream filling, middle layer was a chocolate cake with a ganauche and raspberry jam, top 2 layers were hummingbird cake (carrot cake with pineapples) with a creamcheese filling. Cake was great a year later 2

Also suprised hubby with a grooms cake. He is a SF 49ers fan and Phillies fan. Did a play on that. The weirdest sports fan combo I know

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

Bora Bora. Best trip of my life

When was your wedding? Month/Year - August 22, 2009, we had 500 guests

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like? -Mine was princess style strapless white with beading. It had a train. We had 7 couples, a flower girl and another little girl in our wedding. The dresses were black, strapless, floor length except for the little girl, she wore white with black waist ribbon and details.

How about your cake? Square cake white frosting, white edible pearls with black details. 3 tier butter cream. Each tier was a different flavor and filling. Grooms cake was chocolate and had a 1970 Mach 1 mustang (identical to the one DH was restoring)

Where did you go for your honeymoon? Puerto Rico for a week. I was sick with a cold for half of it.

*Adding Flowers- Roses. I carried 24 white roses with crystals in them, the bouquet was wrapped in white ribbon with crystals. The bridesmaids carries 12 red roses and the older flower girl carried 18 red roses all wrapped with black ribbon with pearls. My sister, maid of honor also has crystals in her bouquet and instead of pearls, she also has crystals.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like? I wore a simple white dress from Kohls. No bridesmaids. (It was a rushed/ last minute hospital wedding)

How about your cake? Chocolate and provided by the hospital cafeteria.

Where did you go for your honeymoon? No honeymoon yet!

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like?

It was white princess style strapless with pearl beading on the bodice and through the "skirt" and train. At the bottom of the "skirt" were beaded flowers. Not too elaborate. It was a Vera Wang (on sale or I couldn't have afforded it). My veil also had some light beading. The bridesmaids wore floor length strapless gowns in lilac.

How about your cake?

3 tier with one edible pearl heart on each layer and an all white topper of a couple dancing. Two layers were lemon cake with raspberry filling and one was butter pecan with a butter rum icing. Top layer was amazing a year later!

We went to a tiny island off the coast of FL near Naples called Marco Island. We had a house with a pool about 2 blocks from the beach. It was on a canal with a boat. We were in heaven!

When was your wedding: April 5, 12014

What did your dress and bridesmaid dresses look like: I wore a very vintage lace dress. The lace was scalloped and I had lace cap sleeves added to the dress. My bridesmaids wore cream dress, floor length and the material was bobonette!

Cake: We had a 3 teir round European torte raspberry filled cake. Ivory buttercream with little pearls scattered on each tier. Sugar peony topper.

Honeymoon: We spent 10 days in Hawaii. Oahu, Maui and Kauai. Was just so beautiful.

If I could figure out how to upload pics I would! I got pregnant a month and a half after wedding.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like? Mine was strapless princess with a cool detachable train. Five bridesmaids wore dresses I found on clearance at The Limited, each with their "color" added via ribbon.

How about your cake? It was square with 5 tiers. White with a scroll pattern of our five colors, one for each layer. We topped it with a bobble head of the two of us. We're a little weird. ;-)

Where did you go for your honeymoon? Saugatuck, MI for a few days, then Disney World over Thanksgiving.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like?
We did a courthouse wedding so no bridesmaids.

How about your cake?
I made our cake. It was small but it was vanilla with raspberry filling and I decorated it with cream cheese frosting and leftover raspberry filling. It consisted of lots of swirls.

Where did you go for your honeymoon?
We went to Costa Rica and splurged on this ridiculously awesome resort with the most perfect view of the volcano. We got a groupon deal on their presidential suite which was 3 times the size of our apartment! Way better than a wedding IMO.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like? My dress was a custom made Allure gown in light pink. The lace overlay was ivory so it wasn't too much pink. My bridesmaids were given a color and could pick any shade of that particular color.

How about your cake? My cake was 3 tiers royal icing with burlap decorations, but wehad a pie bar that was the yummiest part. 30
different pies, 5 different kinds of tarts. It was great

Where did you go for your honeymoon? We haven't yet. We are too close to deployment time to go anywhere that we want to go. Afterwards we are planning on bora bora or Tahiti

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like? I had a strapless, ivory beaded dress. My bridesmaids wore lilac, tea length dresses in a any style they wanted.

How about your cake? My cake was a few tiers, it had a fountain under it and two separate pieces that bridged to the main cake.

Where did you go for your honeymoon? We honeymooned in Dublin, Ireland.

The chicken dance picture is really important because it plays into how we met.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like? Short brown dresses

How about your cake? Mine was a typical 4 tier cake with little designs on it, but DHs grooms cake was a funfetti cake

Where did you go for your honeymoon? We couldn't finalize plans because I am terrified to fly so that really limited our options, then we became so focused on TTC that I didn't want to make plans to go somewhere because "what-if". One day I'm sure we will do something.

Sept 2013. Our 1yr anniversary is just over a week away!

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like?
My dress was pearl white, strapless dropped waist with suble pickups. Had a blingy peachish sash added for funsies.
All 3 were different styles and colors but same material and complimented each other wonderfully.

How about your cake?
Made by a friend. 4 tier, asymmetric, 2 layers red velvet and the other 2 funfetti with cream cheese frosting. Damn good cake!

Where did you go for your honeymoon?
Went to Cali a month later for a weekend to Disney, California Adventure and Knott's. Not my ideal but it made DH happy.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like?
My dress was a scalloped halter with a dropped waist. it had a mixture of lace and beading. Perfect for new years eve. oooh and it had buttons all the way down the back. They were red chiffon floor length dressed with on shoulder strap (went crossways)

How about your cake?
My aunt made ours, I LOVED it. We actually had two, one a chocolate with raspberry filling, and one almond with raspberry filling. They were both 3 teirs.

Where did you go for your honeymoon?
We were supposed to go skiing in Colorado in march, but MH had emergency back surgery at the end of January. Funny, we rescheduled it for next February and were planning on. Ttc then, but surprise!! We won't be going.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like?
My dress was a non-fussy a line chiffon with a beaded belted area. A friend of my mil made my veil for me. Playing on fall, the bridesmaids dresses were like a candy apple red.

How about your cake?
My DH decided he wanted red velvet (I went with it since he was participating in planning things). It was 4 tiered simple ivory fondant with grosgrain ribbon around each tier to match the color scheme. Then it was decorated with fresh gerbera daisies that were red, orange and yellow

Where did you go for your honeymoon? This is for @jaztastic‌.. we went to baltimore. We were running short on vacation days and had our accomdations paid for by points accumulated by travel at work. Hehe

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like? My dress was a strapless Organza with a flared draped bottom. Bridesmaids wore 2 Birds dresses in their signature blush color.

How about your cake? My dream cake! 5 tiers, with draped fondant detail. White cake with 2 layers of amaretto cream, 2 layers fresh strawberry and one layer Italian cream.

Where did you go for your honeymoon? Barcelona and Madrid, Spain!

So here's an awkward story. I'm kind of married but not really.

Back in 2011, my dad was getting increasingly vocal about how me and my "DH" were not married and that we were "living in sin". We got tired of all the negativity, and so we squeezed in a mini wedding in between our hectic schedules. We paid a judge to perform the ceremony at a courthouse, but we never actually mail in our marriage certificate. To everyone, we got married; to the government, we're still not married. We rented out a small boat with only immediate family in attendance -- it was the first time they met. We just weren't ready back then and we also didn't want to pay a hefty marriage tax as our combined income would place us in an insane bracket. Sounds insane, but the money we saved by not paying the tax or a grand wedding allowed us to own a dream house outright.

With our little one on the way finally, we're signing the papers the coming Tuesday, with only my sister and her bf as witnesses. There will not be dressing up or partying, because to me, my wedding date was always 9/9/11 even though the government views it differently.

Wore a knee length cream colored dress. My sisters came in deep purple dresses.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like? Black, white, and a champagne-y color.

How about your cake? I had my friend make our cake with a Lego Topper, and I got 4 small cakes from HEB, a local grocery store. They melted before the night was over, but I thought it was pretty funny.

Where did you go for your honeymoon? Cancun. It rained all but one day, so I feel like I need a redo as after baby.

October 3rd, 2009 - we are coming up on 5 years this year. Celebrating with a hot springs tour road trip! Fall is my favourite time of year!

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like?

I had a pretty plain A-line type dress, strapless, with some beading on it. I had to put extra stuffing in the boobs part of the dress to make it fit properly.

My sister and SIL were my bridesmaids and they wore brown dresses. I let them pick their own.

How about your cake?

Chocolate cake, three tiers (it was a small wedding, so they were small tiers) with a gold ribbon around them. The cake toppers were the most expensive thing at the wedding - they were jewel-encrusted letters. So pretty.

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We stayed at a B&B on the west coast of the Island, did some whale watching, some beach combing.... and generally laid about and luxuriated.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like? My dress was a Maggie Sottero and my bridesmaids wore strapless apricot colored dresses (they chose them)

She used to have her own cake business, so I knew she'd do an amazing job. It was a 3 tier white cake and she made several chocolate tortes for the groom's cake.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like?

My wedding dress was a peachy-pink lace dress I snagged for $19.99 at TJ Maxx. My reception dress was from Modcloth in the same color and fabric but a different style (easier to dance in).

No bridesmaids although I did get my dog a lovely pink and brown dress for the reception - sad I know! :-)

How about your cake?

Almond cake with raspberry filling and buttercream icing- yum! My co-worker made it as our gift.

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We had to do wedding/honeymoon all at once because I was in Nursing school and my (now) husband's Army commitments so what better place than Vegas?! We had a reception back home a month later.

What did your dress and bridesmaids dresses look like? My dress was a beaded corset-type top with an A-line skirt. I looooooove my dress

My bridesmaids wore plain black dresses that we found at Nordstrom's Rack.

How about your cake? 4 offset square tiers, each was a different flavor/filling. We had chocolate with raspberry, white with chocolate Bavarian cream, marble with chocolate chip Bavarian cream and chocolate with strawberry Bavarian cream, all with white buttercream frosting with pink hearts (that matched our invitations)

Where did you go for your honeymoon? 2 1/2 weeks in Hawaii. We spent 4 days in Waikiki, then took a 7 day cruise around the islands, then 5 days in Kona.
