Hi ladies - I'm coming over from TTCAL for a question. I thought it would be best suited here since I'm asking for success stories. I am trying to set myself up for success this cycle - I am getting serious about temping, just ordered some OPKs from Amazon and am looking into the RRL tea. Anyone have success using this??

Hi lady. I miss you girls.
I drank red ras. Leaf tea during both of my pregnancies but not until well past the 20+ week mark. I've only read about it's benefits in increasing uterine tone and "ripening" the cervix when the time is right. I haven't actually heard of it having benefits for getting pregnant- though I haven't done much reading up on it lately. I've heard Pom juice is good for uterine lining. Personally I'd avoid adding too much to your TTC regimen. I think with the OPKs and temping and good timing, you'll be pregnant quickly.

RRL can be helpful in the last few weeks of pregnancy when you want to bring on labor. I forgot to try it with DD, but I may try it this time.
As @mpiemont mentioned, pomegranate juice can be good to help thicken the lining of your ute. It makes it a nice "plushy" place for your egg to implant. You drink 8oz a day from the first day of AF until when you ovulate and then stop. Some ladies experience a heavier AF the next month, but I never had that issue. I drank it the month I got pregnant with DD, but not with this LO. So maybe it helped, but it's hard to say.
GL this month! I hope you get your BFP soon!

To answer your question, OP, I would check with your HCP about this. I read conflicting info on whether it was safe during the first trimester because I was taking the Rainbow lite prenatal and it was one of the ingredients. I ended up switching brands because I didn't feel comfortable taking it during the 2ww.
I can't see your signature, but is there a reason why you are looking into this particular herb?

RRT is interesting because there are so many different opinions about it during pregnancy. I think I will personally just avoid it for the most part.
***Losses mentioned.*** TTC #1 since May 2012. Me: 37, OH: 41. Ectopic August 2012 => tubal damage.
Regarding the statement some saw as insensitive, naive, and not helpful, I apologize if you took it that way. I hope by now you know that I only had good intentions when I replied to your post.
