But please, for the love of all that is holy, go back to sleep for your dad in the MOTN without needing mommy cuddles every single time. Please? He's good at cuddling too. And he's a pretty cool guy.
Luckily DH brought home sea salt dark chocolate last night and took breakfast duty so I could sleep through my workout time I-)
DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
Requested a meeting with the director of research operations, knowing she was difficult to get a hold of. I wrote I would prefer early in the morning.
She answered at 6:30 today, saying tomorrow at 7 would work for her.
....
Well...ummm.
I said yes, but honestly, my 8AM workday begin is already on the early side for me. Ah well, it's not going to be every day, right? *writes down 8PM bedtime for tonight*
First flight is over. Silas slept maybe 4 of the 6 hours and is running around the Dallas airport like a wild man. H and I didn't really sleep at all so it's probably better if Si is still tired when we get home so we can all crash.
We talked a bit more and things are okay between us for the moment. We're going to try to work some issues out on our own for a month and then go to counseling if we still feel like we need to.
Married: 4/5/13

@Cfreymc that is great news! Hugs!
Owen had to write a report on a book he read, which included a 3 sentence description including main characters and events. I was proof reading his report yesterday and thought, "Hey, this is really good!"
Then I thought, "This is too good."
Yep, he copied it off the back cover of the book.
Argh, I'm going to have to always stay on top of this kid.
seconded. whoa.
~O) for all, sorry for all the sick babies and sleepless nights around here
Holy crap, @merc5411, saw that story on the news this morning and would have never imagined it was your house! Good luck getting it all taken care of!
SD's mom texted me this morning to tell me SD woke up at 3:30 screaming saying she thought a bug was in her ear so they went to the ER and turns out there was... a beetle. ew. So it's out and the poor kiddo has numbing drops because apparently it scratched her ear canal.
always my babies
Sending good vibes to all the sick babies.
And waving a big hello to everyone! I've been swamped at work, and totally unable to log into mobile, so I've been totally MIA. Probably will be for most of September thanks to work.
@Casey78 how is the trip going? Mine got moved to the week after next, and I'm still nervous, but I think we'll all survive
I passed out last night I did not wake up once and was confused this morning. DD is feeling much better too since she was not up several times...or if she was I did not hear.
SIL is hopefully having a baby today. She went in for an induction. Hopefully things go well with her. I get the feeling that it will be a long labor. But DD gets a new cousin to play with at XMAS time.
A friend works with some out spoken high schoolers..... This is from the first day of school.
@merc5411, wow, that is so crazy!
@DenverBride2005, I saw that video this morning too. So sweet! I just wanted to squeeze that squishy baby!
Sure enough, the day I wrote that my baby STTN (in the wakeups thread), DS slept like crap. Not a big deal, baby's gonna baby. But after getting him back down, I came back to bed only to discover that DH was lying spread eagle in the center of the bed and was snoring obnoxiously loud. I couldn't get him to move or to stop snoring. After lying there awake for almost 2 hours, I decided to sleep in the guest room. I cranked up the baby monitor and left it with DH so I could sleep in for once like he gets to do every morning. Of course DH was all pissy this morning because I didn't "communicate my plan to him". Really dude? I tried to wake you up a dozen times so you'd roll over and stop snoring/hogging the bed. He was practically comatose so "communicating a plan" would have been pointless. Gah! I need coffee this morning and wine later!
