I hate being on the bench, it sucks. Looking for others to commiserate with me. I just want to at least be trying!
I had a m/c 32 days ago, and my levels were at 2000 last week. So over this.

I'm not anymore, but my latest loss was in April, and this is our first cycle off. My hcg took forever to come down too. It was pretty frustrating. I'm sorry that you are going through this.
@littlecookie , how long did it take for your levels to drop? I'm worried about needing a d&c since I'm still spotting and they are so high, although the u/s doesn't show any retained tissue. My first loss was a d&c, while I want to go natural, this part sucks.

I'm stuck in the box. Sorry. Hope this doesn't discourage you, but I took Cytotec on 4/21 hcg that day was about 30K. I finally got a negative test on July 10. My first loss was a d&c and I did not want another one so close either. Thankfully, I did not have to have another one. Just had to exhibit lots of patience.
Thanks @littlecookie . My levels were 8000 the day I m/c, 4000 three days later, and 2000 thirty days later. I seem to have stopped bleeding, so I'm praying they continue to drop, although more quickly would be appreciated. It's so frustrating, just want it to be over. Did your doctor tell you to wait in cycles or months? Mine said 2-3 months, but at the rate I'm going.... Sigh.

@dani_brewer , loved MUN! We still visit both coasts regularly (in laws on the west, close friends on have east). I'm originally from NB though, and it was where we both found work in the same city, so we left.

Glad to see I'm not alone ladies. At minimum I will be on the bench until October, probably. November. DH is leaving this morning for a work trip between 4-8 weeks, so in some ways it's "good" timing since we are on have bench regardless. Not that I want him to leave- single parenting is for the birds!

I'm benched as well. We're benched medically until I get my first AF post D&C but we've decided to bench ourselves until November while we try to get healthy and recover emotionally. I totally hear you about the bench sucking though!
Originally she said 2 cycles, but we wanted to run a few tests before we started again and were waiting on the negative test. I actually had a cycle with hcg still in the system so I waited a few weeks (until after next cycle)before going back. I was so tired of seeing those numbers. Then we started testing and I've had two AF since the neg while waiting for all the tests. Good luck! The waiting is a pain, but I'm hoping the practice will help with the anxiety while we are actually TTC. Feel free to vent to me, but hopefully your numbers drop drastically very soon. @LauraO11
Thanks @littlecookie . I had some bloodwork done last week, so will have the sonohysterogram once my levels disappear hopefully. I'm praying I regulate for when DH gets back from work! but remind myself this is a process regularly. A freakin long process.

Benched until next cycle although my body has a history of sucking, so it might not be ready to go next cycle if my LP sucks as much as I think it's going to this cycle. It has been hinting at pooping out on me for a couple of days now and I'm only 7 dpo
November 2010 - 10.5 week loss October2011 - DS (7) July 2014 - Stillborn DD (24 weeks) August 2015- DD (3) April 2018 - 5 week loss
I am on the bench until next cycle, which for my long cycles won't be until mid October. Even then, my fertile week probably won't come until end of Oct or early Nov.
Benched here, too. I had surgery on Aug. 11 to remove retained product from my D&C on May 1. My doctor wanted me to wait until I've had 2 AFs before trying again. I've had one and expect the second later this month. Then we'll be doing IUI in late Sept/early Oct.
I'm sorry! Yes, I am, too. we did an IUI last cycle that didn't work. I went for my day 3 bw and u/s and I have too many cysts from the injectibles so I am benched again (pretty much every other month I get benched).
@mrandmrsk91011 ... not only do we almost share an anniversary, we are benched until January for non - medical reasons too. Technically I'm cleared medically even though I don't feel back to ' normal. ' We are taking the rest of the year off for me to get physically and mentally more fit for pregnancy and a second baby, and (probably more the real reason) to allow me to settle into a new job and to have been there long enough by the time baby comes that I qualify for mat leave.

I was benched by my doc for 2 cycles and am on my second, but DH and I may take another cycle to take care of some personal stuff. Being benched sucks, but I'm trying to take this time to work on getting healthier and eating better to hopefully kickstart my ovaries into cooperating when we are off the bench. Good luck and I hope your HCG levels start behaving!

I just found this group so I'm doing some catching up and reading all the posts. We have a 1 year old son that we conceived via IVF. We had hoped that we would be able to conceive on our own if we tried right away since he is such a good baby. So we have been trying since last November. We did back to back IUIs in March and April but BFN for both. So we decided to take a break and save up for IVF again. I just found out a month ago that my doctors office is now doing the same kind of sperm wash for the IUI that my IVF office does so we are going to try one more round of IUI before IVF. My biggest issue is my husband is a farmer and this is getting right into his busy time of the year and his schedule is so unpredictable. I go to a lot of the appts alone be he is clearly needed for one of them so I don't want it to fall in a time when he is going to be super busy. So I'm trying to decide when we are going to start things but I really don't want to wait much longer.
